Beautiful labels! I would buy them. Grumpy is right. They are a tad under exposed nothing major. You could run them through photoshop editor and just tweak the contrast nothing else. Otherwise the pictures are perfect.

It sounds like you are doing everything right. Keep in mind though 74 degrees might be comfortable for your body might not be for the wax. I have heard that C-3 is notorius for seepage.

The GB 416 you can get through Gateway foods. Just notify Kris Kackey for a sample to try out before you purchase a case.

I would imagine pillar/votive wax may pull away from the sides since it is a harder wax. Try the container blend.

Depends on the opening of the jar. If its narrow like an apothecary type then I would say no because there is not enough air flow to keep the temperature cooled enough and you would have to worry about it shattering. Have you tried two 1312's with them bending outward? If its open like the heart dish then why not trying a triple? Try both!

I use 415 myself. I can see the jar on the right by looking at the sides that wick won't even touch it. 3.5 diameter jar is pretty much a double wicker when it comes to 415. I do not use them normally because I prefer CD's myself. I have tried in that size of diameter all the way up to Htp 1312 and it still doesn't make it all the way with all the FO's. I would say try two Htp 104 or 105's make sure you have them facing the opposite direction so the pools reach out farther since those particular wicks bend. Double wicking is not so bad. It might burn faster but in bigger houses It throws stronger and farther.

I was inspired by Beanpods Oatmeal cookie. Yummah!! I followed some postings and decided to try (since I was making an order anyway) MC's Oatmeal Raisin Cookie. I was a wee bit dissapointed. It doesn't smell anything like it. I know there are some that will disagree but It doesn't smell like oatmeal cookies at all. I was actually getting a little sickened by the smell which is not typical of me. Does anyone feel this way. Don't get me wrong it has a strong hot and cold throw but it is almost too sweet smelling. Does anyone know of a supplier that smells identical to Beanpods OC formula?

I used the 474. It poured great and set up great. It set up pretty quickly and threw well. The release was usual with nice smooth sides. The only problem I had was in time the colors fade from the wax. Mind you these were kept in the dark and they still faded. But that is the only problem.

They don't offer a baby powder scent for YC candles in the US. In the states J&J is the most widely known but you don't see it offered in the large manufacturers such as YC, CC, BP or Root. NG is identical. I still use the J&J powder on my 2 year olds bum ocassionally and my husband is in love with that scent.

Peaks is the best. There cucumber canteloupe blend is great too! I have tried JS and Peaks still is closer to the real thing for the melons category.

I love BCN's scents. Do I think they are extremely strong? No. I have had to add about 1.5 ounces to get a good throw out of 415. It's a hit or miss thing. It depends on the person too. I demand extremely strong throws from my candles because I usually deal with people who have houses larger than gymnasiums. That is why its best to try their sample sizes. If you don't like it then you don't have extra and you can try something else or somewhere else.

Come to think of it I have had to wick up with the chocolate scents. It's not uncommon though. Certain coffee scents are that way too.

There is no scientific evidence when to add the scent I use the waxes from GB and Jason has told me In the past I could add the scent at 125 degrees. Curing is not fact based either. People have just noticed an improvement when it sits for a while in a air tight container how fresh the smell is. Bananna Nut Bread is not a powerful scent to begin with, it also depends on what supplier you bought it from. Not familiar with that blend of wax it must be a parasoy because you usually don't add stearic to soy. To be honest with you there is no rule of thumb to soy. That is why it is hard to find very little publiciation about it. It's mostly trial and error. Just go along with the pouring and scent load guidelines but the rest has to be up to you. There are a lot of FO's that sometimes just don't throw. Then you just have to give in and try a different supplier or forget about the scent all together. If your adding 3 ounces per pound then that is just a bumb scent period! Or a bad wax.

If you are creative and comfortable enough with soy its possible. It's better to use a straight 100% soy than a container blend because when you pour over the chunks the lower the temp the better so you won't melt the chunks. Some people use votive/pillar blends for the chunks or the same wax your pouring with. It doesn't matter. The only thing that matters is that they have around the same melting points other wise wicking will be more difficult to accomplish. Just start out placing some chunks in your jar with the wicking and then pour you wax around 99-100 degrees or slushy. Not to slushy or else it ends up looking like a parfait and not a candle. Just play around for a while.

That is a great idea! That was is so pretty who ever really wants to burn it down? Plus you don't have to worry about blow outs.

The only suppliers we have in Illinois is Nuscents candle supply and Gateway foods. We don't have much in Illinois. Any thing else would be smaller business's selling their overstock nothing known on this board. I know there is Candle Cocoon in Wisconsin not to far from Madison.

I use extreme vanilla from MC and GB415 and it does not turn the wax at all.

I know a lot of people that us RRD's for palm wax, what if you tried them and LX? I am assuming you would have to double wick if it has a higher melting point than soy and paraffin and a harder wax. If I were you I would start high with this wax. With soy a CSN 14 would have melted the whole one side of that jar after four hours.

Jami you have got to let us know how well those burned. I heard how tricky wicking is with palm container you have me intrigued. Those are very pretty, great job!
