  1. May as well use Neem Oil..it's smells like garlic to me...I know japanese beetles hate it!...saturated a rose shrub with it and they were outta there..LOL:D
  2. I can see teens loving these bags. Groovy baby!..lol
  3. Yep, I learned that refridgerator trick recently and it makes a big difference. I don't like for it gel either and the honey warms things up quite a bit. My soap used to be a medium tan to brown in color and now it's creamy lt beige..wonder if I can make it white that would be nice.
  4. Yep, any pain will do but the roughing up won't be necessary:D
  5. I missed the part about the cream but I agree with pouring that while it's warm. I want to package my scrubs in tubes as well.... ...lol
  6. Maybe a huge syringe with the tip modified a bit and shoot that's all I can think of at the moment but when you figure it out, let me know because my scrub is super thick as well:D
  7. Thaank you I knew it sounded familiar:D
  8. No problems here. Created a nice Liquid castile soap last night!:whoohoo: :whoohoo:
  9. LS is not any more difficult to make than bar soap. I learned to make it only two months after learning to make cp/hp bar soap and I prefer making LS to making any other kind of soap. I have been fortunate in that I haven't had any major difficulties with LS. But of course it's different for everybody. If you want instructions or a recipe for cream soap, you can find them at snowdrift farms.
  10. Not sure I understand it either but then I got a serious thing for the smell of new tires...
  11. Does anybody know if that vegelatum is the same as un petroleum jelly that camden gray sells?
  12. I limited mine to 8. Four men and four women fo's. I really want to eliminate all but two signature type fragrances and be done with it. It's a headache working with all those fo's and I refuse to buy anymore...for now:D
  13. Yep, their base is pretty good and they are too far from me as well:D
  14. :highfive: so much easier this way!
  15. RT soaping works very well for certain oil combinations and is the best way to go with a milk and honey type soap. When using a recipe with very slow tracing oils I don't use RT lye or oils... That's just how it's worked for me. I've added all of my goodies to RT oils.
  16. So soft and prettyful summery colors...love it!
  17. Post a pic when it's all done..sure wanna see this batch that's giving you soapmares..LOL
  18. Man I sure hated when I added to much water to one of my batches! but I added it to the next batch and also used it for foamer bottles. Nothing is wasted around these parts!..LOL but look at it this way...you definitely made soap! hope you're keeping notes so as not to over do it next time:highfive: I tried to boil some of the water out of my over diluted batch but I used direct heat with the lid off and it helped a little. I don't use the double boiler method, ever. Good Luck with saving this batch!
  19. The oatmeal is the exfoliator? I would think it might be too soft but then I always grind mine to a fine powder for soap. I know that shea makes an incredibly moisturizing scrub:drool: Good Job!
  20. I like those containers and used to package my sugar scrubs in that type of container but water always got into while testing. Sooo I decided it's best to use a plastic malibu type tube with a large orifice because my srcubs are very thick and although some water may find it's way into the tube, it won't be near as much where it could ruin the product:o I would like to see a co-op on those soft plastic tubes or at least find them somewhere at a decent price.
  21. My daughter always ties the knots for those things and it never comes loose. I don't know how she does that without the glue trick. I would always have to use glue:undecided
