  1. Very nice color. Where do you get blue sugar? I like that name:) I was expecting to see some of that colored sugar sprinkled on top of the soap..LOL...you never really know:D
  2. I think calendula is very pretty. Has anyone used ground Jasmine flowers? I have buds that I don't want to use whole and I'm thinking of grinding them like the calendula petals.:undecided
  3. Neat. I guess we've all combined a little bit of this and a little bit of that and came up with our own technique and formulas. I think I came across that bring it to trace and let it gel in a cooler method somewhere, too!. Never used it though:undecided I use soap calc now. Oh and that is beauttiful soap!...that's why I don't want to color mine anymore...love that pale gold natural color
  4. That's true about the oils. But she said she was using the formula from about and from experience with that exact recipe, it takes a little more water than recommended. I've yet to look at my notes to see how much I used the first time.
  5. I am so very bad sometimes..LOL:D
  6. Those are all very nice! Not sure how I feel about the oatmeal on top but I love oatmeal shea butter soap!
  7. I never use "type" and I always rename the FO's. started that because I was never comfy with using dupes and had planned to discontinue them altogether. I keep seeing those little bottles of knock off body sprays in the family dollar...you know the ones, if you like Tommy Girl you'll love Jesse's best friend!..LOL
  8. Rosehip and Linseed as well as some other stuff. I can't find rosehip at that price anywhere and it was a good price. I guess I will have to take that FDA crap into consideration as well. Or, search for another supplier. I thought my order was coming from some place in TX but I do believe it is coming from their Canada location.
  9. Has anyone ever had an order held/delayed for FDA clearance? This is a new one for me. This is my first order with this company and for certain it will be my last. I would think they would have mentioned something about there being delay for this reason or a possiblity of one....
  10. Exactly! when I got that email I was just a little
  11. sometimes I read just a little too fast:embarasse ahh so it's a PIN..LOL very cute:D
  12. This is gonna sound strange but what do you do with that? I know it's a moose but????
  13. Heck yeah! it reminds me of a tea tree chamomile rebatch I did a while ago except yours has that pretty golden color..mine was beige.
  14. he needs shower gel but he's probably a bar kinda guy:cheesy2: and speaking of Irish Spring, that stuff burns the picnic area something awful!..LOL
  15. Lately that's all I've done! Natural with oatmeal and ground chamomile is one of my favorites. I haven't even used colorants in my last few batches of LS!..not sure what's going on but that pretty natural light honey color has grown on me. I was talking to my sis about how I had finally made my GM soap a light tan color and she said, "I love your soap and I don't really care what it looks like! and that's good because I focus on quality first and prettyful swirls last!..LOL.
  16. IMO the yellow is already way far better then the unrefined shea from Agbanga and that company has been used numerous times for a co-op. I havent used OBN so i cant comment on them, but you would probably want to compair the OBN to the Ivory or Beigh for a fair comparison. Well, I've tried OBN's Unrefined Shea and it is very nice. It's always pale ivory to nearly white and very creamy and I've used it in lotion soap & balms and love it in everything. I've only used Bamboula's beige in soap and balms and it does have a stronger shea smell than OBN's but the end result in the soap and balm was the same as OBN shea. I will be trying it in lotion this evening. I really would like to compare the Bamboula Ivory to the OBN Ivory. If anyone has about a Pound to trade for the Bamboula beige shea, pm me!
  17. Well, maybe because they want to kick it up a few notches with oils that contain certain properties that shea doesn't have. Ok, well maybe that's just why I add other oils:grin2:
  18. Very prettyful! I've been wondering what that fo smelled like. Is it very masculine sort of musky? if possible can you pleeeze describe it:grin2:
  19. Love their shea and the prices. I'm waiting for the shipment of Ivory. I've got enough beige to last for a while. Whenever I get back to soaping I will be making my fave shea oatmeal bars:yay:
  20. Now I know how it's done! have lots of patience but I am so ok with the HP method right now. If I had small children I would rather throw it all in a crock, bring it to trace and let it do it's thing with a little stirring here and there. Think you could post pictures in the gallery of the process? I would sure like to see it:D that yahoo group wasn't very informative which might be why I've never seen the actual steps. If I recall there are pictures of finished jugs of soap and that's as good as it gets with that group. Not sure we are talking about the same group.:undecided
  21. :embarasse Nope and thats probably why they felt like an exfoliating type product...LOL...a bit scratchy...
  22. The first one reminds me of andes candies or maybe I need breakfast. Your layered soap is awesome and the others are beautiful too. *soap porn approval*
  23. I tried them in lotion. I didn't consider hydrating them first but thanks for the suggestion:wink2:
  24. Anyone with any experience working with these things? They don't seem to be working out for me. Someone want to share because mine stay hard when I use them. They are suppose to stay firm until you rub them on your skin but that's not happening:embarasse so what's really going on with these little beads?
