    That doesn't look ugly to me. It reminds me of one of my first soaps that I used cocoa powder for the swirl. I think your off to a great start:highfive:

    I use oo as well but I don't use TD and my soap is a off white and I'm happy with it. As far as swirling is concerned, I think off white works just as well.

    all except my cpbs gm have identical LS versions if you want to see them they are in the "it's been a year" thread. It has been an amazing year!

    I soaped this about a month ago when I had my first visit from the gremlins and fairies. I was afraid to go back into the kitchen after that:laugh2: But here is it and it holds 18 lbs of soap! This is an old drawer from my kitchen sink. Also, I had to share what those nasty gremlins did to my soap. I will assume it was my anniversary gift. They are called RA surprise because after the gremlins got through with me it was a wonder they even came out at all!...what are those white spots? By the way the entire drawer was supposed to be filled with these three batches.

    Nice looking mold! my BIL offered to build molds for me in any material I wanted and I've got a design for a cutter, but I haven't found anyone to build it for me. I really dont want to deal with wires and things. have fun with your mold. How many pounds of soap does it hold?

    I've never used pomace. I save the evoo for lotions and creams and I use the golden oo for soap. HTH and happy soapin!

    You're gonna be addicted...seriously addicted but congrats! oh and did the green come from using EVOO? I made LS with it and it was definitely green.

    I realized I forgot to add my "special babies" which is of course, LS! actually all of my cpbs have identical LS versions..well all except GM because it doesn't smell very pleasant:grin2:

    The soap have already broken the seal around the edge from all the weird stuff I've done to it. Yep, I froze it, pressed it and done everything I could to it and for now it will just have to stay there..LOL I've used this mold before and had no problems. I think my castile is having separation anxiety... my soap needs counseling..

    I used mineral oil and it's still stuck. I haven't had any problems with my other formulas just this freakin castile!

    I've made the mistake of pouring left over castile soap in a mw mold and it's been in there for nearly two months now..LOL i froze it and tried all the tricks..nothing works. Guess I will have to use it in the mold:laugh2:

    I make my GMS using RT oils and lye and I add my GM (slushy) at trace and there is no smell or discoloration. I've made it to Lt. beige but wanted it even lighter so I made a few changes and this is what I made last night. It's a carrot/gm facial bar. This soap never really got hot and it I didn't refridgerate it, and it went through gel for about an hour and a 1/2 and this is my final results.

    Some mistakes turn out to be beautiful. This kinda looks like a rebatch or hp. I guess we won't know until it's cut. I've had some soap that was beautiful in the mold and imo didn't look so hot out of the mold...you never know:wink2:

    Thanks, my favorite one is the ocean view castile. After I unmolded it I wished I had added a ocean fragrance:mad: yeahhhh try cp...so you can become an addict like the rest of us:drool:

    Oh I definitely understand the "passion" to create. I'm quite passionate about my products. I was having a conversation with my sis about what to write on a newly married couples card and I mentioned something about passion and she said to me, "that's tacky! funny but that was when I realized that whenever that word is used, it's usually associated with sex...go figure...just can't have plain ol passion anymore about anything other than that I guess...aliens and subliminal messages is at work here! :laugh2:

    To be honest with you the furthest thing from my mind is soap and cosmetics when I here that name. I'm thinking Lingerie and um other adult type products. I name my soap based on the fragrance/EO & Ingredients.
