  1. They look great Jenny! Christmas cabernet! Sounds romantic!!
  2. Looks so earthy! I love it when soapers use EO's!!!! Can't wait to see it cut! I've never used a pringles can before! Do you line it, I would think that the metal inside reacts to the lye?
  3. I like the holly soap the best!! Very cute!
  4. Totally trippin dude!!!!!!!!! Couldn't have worked better for that soap!!
  5. Ohhh Ahhhh! Looks like an Ikea cafeteria tray rack! Gosh, how'd you sneak that out! LOL..........
  6. COOL STUFF! Nice packaging also!
  7. The shampoo bars are cut, and I'm even more thrilled with my homemade mold than I thought. Perfectly straight cut bars! I don't get that often with my mold loaf!!
  8. Yes, I had a shampoo bar that Brenda made with that Sandalwood FO in it, and it was great!!!
  9. Today I made a new mold for my shampoo bars, all this time I've just been using a box that was a good size but the bars were too thin. This is a 2 lb mold which I will cut into 9 bars. These shampoo bars are scented Grapefruit FO (NG), Lime EO & Sweet Orange EO. So it's a nice refreshing citrus scent!
  10. I love Sandalwood EO. I use it all the time. I use 'NOW' EO's...... Here is the website. http://www.nowfoods.com/index.php/Essential-Oils/Aromatherapy/cat_id/773 I find some health food stores carry it, and you usually get a 30ml bottle for about $15.00.
  11. I like to use Tea Tree Oil or just plain unscented for that natural nutty scent. Most people probably do use patchouli for that hippy scent...patchouli and hemp go hand in hand........LOL.
  12. Oh my goodness, I made a beer, honey and egg soap once! YUCK....it smelled so bad it was awful. I ended up throwing it out! Anyways, I make shampoo bars, I'm always changing them, switching them up trying new things. I found that jojoba really made the my hair greasy. I also found that superfatting the shampoo bars make my hair greasy, so I don't do that anymore!! My latest ones I was happy with were Mango Butter & Kokum Butter, tonight I made Avocodo Oil & Mango Butter. I usually also use 10-14% castor oil for lots of bubbles!
  13. I did see on a show where a lady made spray with vodka and EO's........so maybe it can be done!
  14. I get my dead sea salt from Canwax it's cheap. (www.canwax.com) since you are from Erie, Canwax is in Toronto so it's pretty close. Hope it helps.
  15. Wonderful soaps! I love the look and softness of the monoi soap!
  16. RUM IT IS!!! Thanks for the comments ladies....I'm glad you all think the gingerbread is a close scent! Good to know, customers will think so too!
  17. Gingerbread (Peak - nice but not a true gingerbread) Egg Nog (NG - not the best egg nog but nice) Candy Cane (Peak -awesome and strong) All FO's soaped great, but Egg Nog soap is darkening while curing. Ah shoot! I only added a teeny bit of FO to the top layer and lightly sprinkled with cinnamon. Gingerbread darkened, even though I did add cocoa powder for colour.
  18. Holy mother of.......................those are AMAZING!!
  19. I love these soap dishes too, but the ikea labels with the barcodes are so hard to get off!
  20. Love it.........it's awesome! I'm sure you could just use a silicon bundt cake mold right????
  21. Old Mill 'Merry Mistletoe' ~ Wish it were red and not pink but what can ya do! The white is curls of my white olive oil soap....This is a great scented soap!!
