  1. Is there any reason why I couldn't sub soybean oil for grapseed, here are the value differences : grapeseed/soybean hardness 12/16 condition 88/82 creamy 12/16 iodine 131/131 INS 66/61 is that too much difference?
  2. BUMP Just checking if these are still alike...I am in the same boat!
  3. Definitly try Winter Candy Apple or Vanilla Bean Noel from TCS!
  4. Jackie, You may want to start over again. If you are testing for which wax you like, you need to keep all the other variables the same...same FO, same wicks, etc. Your conclusions can be wrong because different FOs have better throw than others, and each FO can need a diff size wick. As far as getting a full melt pool in 30 mins-that's entirely too quick. That wick was way too large. It should take approx 1 hour per inch of the diameter of your jar (not the opening, the actual width of the body of the jar). A good way to start out would be to ask a supplier which FO throws well in soys..then use that same one and the same types wicks. Eliminate the waxes you don't like, and then begin trying different variables...try wicks next. you may like ECOs or CDs. After you have narrowed those down, then start trying diff FO's. Now there are times when you may want to switch wicks with specific FO's , but just get the basics down first. If you gon't...you will be wasting lots of time and $! I have been testing for 10 months now and still don't have it all down, it is a very LONG process! I don't want to discourage you, just want you to be prepared and know what to expect. Take your time and have fun with this great hobby! Best of luck!
  5. Sorry, I have one other comparison...anyone tried both? I like the one from TN Candle Supply, but need to order from CandleScience. I use EZSoy (100% soy). Thanks!
  6. I have already used and like the bcn mistletoe...i know, i know-if it ain't broke......... but it seems that most of your raves are for CS. Has anyone compared the 2? Should I be checking out the one from CS?
  7. I really like Peachberry Magnolia and Georgia Summer...now to decide! Thank so much for the help everyone!
  8. From TCS-it's amazing, but I wonder if the name is too long? Any suggestions?
  9. This morning-Peaks downy fresh, this afternoon-Enchanted Lites -almost paradise, and this evening...Peaks-amish harvest
  10. I had ordered from them before and had excellent service! She was very helpful and had great oils! I wonder if your order got lost. I guess we are only human? One other possibility is that your email addy could be in her spam file? Just fishing for reasons! I am surprised to hear this! I wish IO could remember her name.. but I would call her! Her Salty Sea Air is the best, most unique ocean scent! And she has a great Apple Jack N Peel called Northern Star.
  11. Angel, any chance you use soy for the vanilla bean noel and winter candy apple?
  12. What else should I try from NG? Did you use this in soy?
  13. I have a problem..I just used the last drop of my lovely Pumpkin Pie CO from BCN! AGHHHHHHHHHH! I could really use some guidance. I am not one who loves a super spicy pumpkin pie, and I am not opposed to sweet. Can anyone give me their vote on which of these to try...and maybe add a few others that you would try from that supplier. Thanks a ton! Any advice I have gotten on this board has really helped me and I have found some great suppliers because of you!!!!! I use Ezsoy (100% soy), and CD wicks. soycandle.com-pumpkin pie just scents-pumpkin nog nature's gardens-pumpkin crunch cake flicker's-sweet pumpkin backwoods-pumpkin cornbread or grammy's yummy pumpkin
