    Here are the shampoo bars I made as wedding favours for a friends' wedding I am going to in Cuba in October. The bride is also having shaving bars, mens and womens soaps and lipbalms all put into a cute little beach bag with other items such as flipflops and other beachy trinkets. These mini shampoo bars are fragranced with NG Tranquil Oasis - love it!! Please note: they have to still be trimmed up!!!! I just cut them tonight!

    I got this 1 oz bottle of 'Burts baby bee' Apricot Baby Oil. I was wondering if I could make lipbalms with it? Here are the ingredients in the Apricot Baby Oil. (there is nearly no smell) and it says 98.00% natural. Ingredients: Apricot Kernel Oil, Grapeseed Oil, Wheatgerm Oil, tocopheryl acetate & tocopherol (vitamin E), rosemary extract, beta-carotene, fragrance. Any ideas on how to make a lipbalm with it if you think I could give it a go?

    That is super cool soap, and I also love Black Licorice Soap! Wouldn't sell for me though!!! I have one concern.....the streaks in your soap, if they are powdered colorant, will it stain or streak the skin when you wash with it? I did this with blue in one of my soaps and it happened........

    That's really cool! So sparkly...... I was at the mall the other day, and a vendor in the middle of the mall took me aside, told me how beautiful I was (obviously trying to get a sale) and said how my beauty would be enhanced by this assortment of what he called mineral micas.... He put some on my hand to show me how it looked dry. Then added water and how it changed to a darker colour, then he took clear nail polish and dipped it in the little mica pot. Instant Nail Polish in any colour he chose. Pretty cool stuff, but he was selling about 8 weeeee little pots for $85.00. Yikes!

    I have had a few people ask me about home soap parties (*at their home). What % of sales is suitable for free products? I was thinking for every $50 in products sold, I would give the hostess a $10 voucher for free products with no expiry date. Is that suitable? Who should provide the refreshments? Anything else you can tell me is a great help!

    Does anyone know where to buy brown boxes for soaps etc. for a good price? I have odd shaped soaps that I would like to box for wedding favours. And how about organza bags? Like a 5X8 size or something like that for a few items to go into?? Any Canadian places that anyone knows about as well as American?

    I really appreciate your help! I usually melt all the hard oils/butters in a pot, then add the soft oils, and then have to heat it all a bit higher to get the beeswax to melt. I do not trust the microwave with much more than popcorn! LOL... Should I be keeping everything at the lowest temperature possible when making the lipbalms?
