  1. I'm thinking it's just out of stock everywhere, not necessarily "permanently" discontinued. All the suppliers note that it is expected back in stock around late Jan. However, that happened in November too and 2 weeks became 3 weeks and then 4 ...
  2. I know, I'm sorry. Maybe this is just accublend getting caught with sudden increased demand and they'll get past this- but as far as I can tell, no one has coco83 in stock at the moment.
  3. the inconsistent supply of coco83 lately is troubling. CalCandle was out of stock before the holidays and now they're "no longer taking orders for Coconut 83 for the present time. " Which is bad news for west coast coco candle makers since that was our western supplier. Candles and Supplies had the same stock issues on Easy Beads (coco83) in Nov-Dec with eta dates that kept getting pushed back and they are once again are out of stock, as is Northwood. And my last batch of coco83 reeked of rancid grease which is what led me to the Lab Co. wax.
  4. @quentin If you are using an iphone the phone should correct for any flame flare. I take pics of lit candles all the time in many light conditions with no flare or glare from the flame. Just tap on the phone screen right over the flame and the little sun icon will come up on your screen and correct any glare on that spot. If you want to take square pics- without the need to crop a rectangular pic down- you can also just use the "square" pic setting on your phone. And if you want to crop further, use the iphone photo editor. With a little practice you can take stunning pics using just your iphone and natural light that are great for web use.
  5. And YOU just reminded me my coupon expires on 12/31!
  6. Yikes. Even in L.A. I pay less freight than that. My cost comes to 4.22 lb incl. freight. 20 lbs Wax $56.00 Freight $27.76 the good news is, I just got a 20% coupon with my last box. 😀
  7. I agree Jeremy- this has quite a bit of soy in it. If I had to guess based on my own experiments with blends, I'd say this is something close to 40% soy 50% coco and 10% paraffin. It melts easily like coco wax but the flame height is much more consistent than I've seen in other coco waxes.
  8. Funny to see post this as I was just giggling last night at the over- the -top -fragrance note descriptions in this FO by Candlewic, but it might actually be very close to what you're looking for: MIDNIGHT LOUNGE Top; Evening Iris, Blushed Suede, Silvered Sword Leaves Middle; Cordoba Leather, Meukow Vanilla, Burgundy Saffron Bottom; Black Agarwood, Copper Patchouli, Caramel Cordial
  9. with the Lab & Co wax? The tops are perfectly smooth, before and after burning. Although I could say the same for all the other coco waxes I've tried.
  10. Here you go >>>>> https://langxuart.en.alibaba.com/product/60293404954-802388569/new_product_launch_various_colors_turquoise_gel_cut_embossed_lotus_flower_pattern_custom_candle_jar_glass.html?spm=a2700.icbuShop.41413.20.6ddc69acj1GSpe
  11. If I'm not mistaken, someone on here spoke to an Accu-blend rep and was told that the C&S coco container blend is coco83.
  12. single wick, it's only a 3" diameter glass. I don't sell but I''ll give some as gifts. Nothing wrong with Voluspa prices They sell a lot of candles at their prices!
  13. I ordered some containers from dream vessels. They're quite nice, weighty and substantial and remind me a lot of a voluspa candle. Easy to wick 3" inner diameter. I'm burning this one at my desk right now.
  14. This is perfect for people who want a terrarium with their candle 🔥🌵
  15. Do you mean Archipelago's Havana? I've seen it listed at several suppliers but only purchased Flaming Candle's version. It's a very close match.
  16. Wow. That's some sleuthing @Kerven! It could be as simple as: Dayna Decker has some roots in IL or that area and knows or is even related to the folks at CandleArt and/or that facility either blends the wax or is centrally located and close to the where the wax is made, thus it makes sense to ship from that location. I'll say this, the two companies: CandleArt and Lab & Co... sure have a different aesthetic. I just want to know how I can get this cocowax for less $!
  17. well, I googled the street address on the shipping label from my latest purchase of the VCC. The address is the CandleArt building. The plot thickens...🧐
  18. Glad to see someone else thinks coco83 literally stinks. I can't stand the smell of it, even in a finished scented candle that old grease smell comes through for me.
  19. I use coco/soy but have liked most everything I've received from NG.
  20. Several suppliers carry this dupe: Bulk Apothecary, Fragrance Buddy, Nature's Garden...
  21. @talltayl I'm in So Cal so not so cold but we sure get hot. Not sure how this wax will hold up in the summer but I'm loving it now.
  22. yeah, the VCW has a listed MP of 122 but I was buying it as a blender anyway. Funny thing is, I haven't blended it yet. I have found it surprisingly wickable all by itself.
  23. Great! I'd love to hear about it! I looked at C2 on Northstar too and it does sound very similar. At $4.99.lb + free shipping it is less expensive than the Coconut creme in smaller 5 lb qtys.. However I just re-ordered another 20 lbs of the VCW and w/ freight included on that order my cost went down to $4.24 lb- a big improvement.
