  1. Thanks E. I find your post very encouraging! Spellcast..there is little you can do wrong that cannot be fixed. Just jump right in there and everything will work out fine. You go girl and post in the morning. We'll be waiting
  2. Very nice variety! You should post more often
  3. You might have this website,,,just in case I'll send it to you. It was very helpfull to me when I was trying to figure out what was what in the oil and butters category (meaning the oil properties page) HTH:) http://www.southernbellesoaps.com/
  4. It's looking good & I love anything lime. Can't wait to see that cut

  6. That is one REAL nice looking pillar Shannon. Suits the name perfectly :highfive:
  7. Holy crap Carmen...you're going to be my personal critic Talk about pressure! LOL I'll put a bar on reserve for ya!! You put on the coffee, I'll bring the bagels! Edited to add: I got nervous and forgot my manners....thanks to everyone for the encouragement. I appreciate it!
  8. This batch went much smoother than the first. I remembered to warm the FO before adding to the pot. Swirled in the pot with copper mica & scented Mango Sage Tea from NG. Smells real nice & fresh. Thanks for looking
  9. Beautiful soaps! Very impressive first
  10. Thanks for that tip E~will remember that if and when the next time rolls around. Thanks again ladies
  11. Fab....see my post from yesterday "First batch CP" --it has pics & what I did. Elle....there ARE a few "holes" on a couple of bars. I really smashed it down to get those air pockets out. ANOTHER GREAT TIP from Eugenia!! Next time I'll smoosh it even harder!!
  12. This is the rebatch of my first failed batch from yesterday. I've finally got soap, although not the prettiest it sure smells good! Next batch is gellin like a felon in the mold!! WOOOHOOOOOOO:yay: Time to visit the SoapCalc again!!!
  13. Well I'm intrigued! Let us know how it does.
  14. Better Spam than head-cheese! Honestly Grumpy, I think it looks real nice
  15. The FO was Burberry from SOS. I'm ALMOST positive that if I had warmed the FO I probably would not have had this problem. MA, can I hold you to the smooth sailing?? LOL I can understand Kims excitement over the salad shooter...after all it is a soap making device!! Thanks to all who responded! I appreciate the encouragement
  16. AND A FAILURE AT THAT! LOL This was going along pretty smothly thanks to Robin's tutorial and help from Eugenia and Carmen (ebcandles). Came to a nice light trace in about 6-7 min of alternating stick blender and hand stirring. At light trace I added 1 oz FO and damn if it didn't rice on me. :rolleyes2 Wasn't sure what to do so I plopped it in the mold. I covered it up and let it sit over nite, woke up to solid but slimey soap. REBATCH TIME!! Very educational experience this has been and I'm enjoying every step of the whole process. I am in no way discouraged and will be starting my next batch later today!! My name is Mary....and I'm a soapaholic. Will post pic when I unmold & get it cut.
  17. I look forward to the day that I can swirl a soap that pretty!
  18. Same here....they look like that from the supplier, but once the wax is melted and I put in my additives and pour...no problems!
  19. It seems like they might be cooling a little fast. You can use a styro cooler to cover them, or a cardboard box works just as well. Try that out and see if it's better. Let us know how it works out for ya!
