Yeah I definitely got carried away with the oils, I saw that it could take more and kinda ran with that just because I thought I could, which I admit was a silly reason, lol. I didn't know that CD's burned hotter than other wicks ! This has all been very useful information, thank you all again so much ! I will absolutely cut down on the fragrance next batch and will absolutely be wicking WAY down and sticking to a single wick.

But I'm already ordering this week so I'll just order one in that order Yes the blue cotton candy is great ! I've only used it in soy melts so far but I love it and the throw is good even in soy I have their Cherry Slushie which is a bodacious buy category oil and you wouldn't know it ! It is so spot on and omg the throw is knock your socks off, even in soy !

This is on my list for my next JS order ! Mind telling what kind of wax you use ? I'm assuming that it has good throw and smells pretty spot on ? I'm loving their Blue Cotton Candy lately, want to add a regular

I'm using the CD wicks, which I love...when I wick right, lol. I have all different sizes of them but they are my wick of choice these days

Okay thanks ! Just wanted to make sure I wasn't missing anything Yeah, that was really stupid of me, lol, something told me to not scent it that much. I need to start listening to my intuition.

So I went to burn my parasoys today and my wicks went crazy. I wicked up on my smaller ones and double wicked on the bigger because I used the max load of fragrance ( 10% ) I had to put them out because the flames were outrageously high, sooty and the flames joined together on the double wick ? I never had this problem even wicking palm ! My assumption is a ) I WAY overwicked ! & b ) used way too much oil. Would I be correct in these assumptions ? Or is there something else I'm doing wrong ? Never want to see this again with my candles, that's for sure

Okay, I finally decided to get over my weird fear of paraffin and I ordered Problend 600 parasoy from The Faming Candle. Got it like an hour ago and of course, I dove right in ? My issues are : As it melted, there were little popping noises and bubbles. What's the deal with that ? Is it the wax ? I've only use soy and palm so far. Also : The temp went higher than recommended before the wax fully melted. I used the lowest setting ( I melt in a presto btw ) but I just turned it off to let it finish melting, then put it back on after a bit to speed things up. Was that the right thing to do or should I have done something else ? Should I have cut the wax into smaller chunks ? Any advice would be appreciated, be aide my smaller candles are hardening on top already and I think that this wax is sooo beautiful ! Perfectly smooth tops, such a nice change from pure soy

This is good to know because I always wanted to order chocolate, but never do because it's such a tricky scent to get right ! If you like White Chocolate, WSP has a really good one. Especially blended with their Sweet Strawberry. I made that for Valentine's Day candles and my friends and family flipped over those, lol

Sounds like a great order to me ! The Caramel Coffee Cream is delish and an excellent thrower. Candy corn is nice too, haven't ordered it in years but I recall liking it Another EXCELLENT one I forgot about is Blueberry Cheesecake, omgggg it is outstanding ! Their Pink Sugar is spot on, so is their Love Spell.

I've only ordered Warm Vanilla Sugar and Fruit Loops from them lately, both are spot on and good throwers for me, but I hope that they haven't changed oils ! There are a few older ones that I really want to reorder, like Caramel Coffee Cream, which I would be devastated if they changed, lol. Also, their Pink Sugar is my fave and my go to Pink Sugar. Same with their Love Spell. So I sincerely hope not ! Is it possible that you got a bad batch of the lavender, maybe ? Would TCS tell us if they changed oils, if we were to ask ?

Agreed ^^^ This is good advice. I also love making melts to test scent blends that I have in mind.

I agree with the person who said to email her. CC has excellent customer service ! That being said, I would order the lb if nothing else...that is how amazing that scent is, haha ! but...I get that scent and sense of smell is subjective and why you wouldn't want to do that, so my vote goes with email them

That was all the blue wax The jar was ombre, it was pink on the bottom, clear on top, so it looked layered but it really wasn't. I've only layered soy so far and with soy, I wait til it cools then pour the other layer. Now with palm, I would imagine that I would need to blast the jar with a heat gun before pouring a second layer, at least around the top part of the jar. because I heat my jars prior to pouring palm. I don't get good crystallization otherwise.
