  1. I ordered from Flaming mostly because their shipping costs for wax is wonderful and they happened to have a lot of people who love almost all of their oils, so I was sold! Good to know that they have so many more I have not yet tried that I would love to try MS definitely has the best price on clams and it actually made me think about trying them. I am still in testing phases of everything, so I have not yet settled on wax I absolutely love yet until I know how well they all perform together. I am leaning towards parasoy but all paraffin seems to be nice as well. I had good luck with 464 alone in the past but with select oils. I am obsessed with shapes and they are the perfect size for melting and testing, so I am using molds for testing right now. I guess I have not read up on palm really at all. I came across it a few times and heard very mixed reviews, so I decided to pass at the time. I used to make whipped body butters, sugar scrubs, lip scrubs, lip balms, roll on oils, bath fizzies and more from scratch once upon a time, but dont anymore due to melting and freezing during shipping (products were mostly butters and oils). I had some people who did not want to pay for ice packs for shipping so it really cut into costs especially when you can only charge so much for skincare items anyways, so I stopped years ago. It was also due to some family health issues going on, it all kind of happened at once so it seemed time to give it a break. I love handcrafting very very much, so I am hoping to get back into bath stuff again sometime when everything settles down, but we will see. I mostly loved traveling to craft fairs and meeting new people, such lovely people in the world. I have always wanted to handcraft wax items because OBSESSED with scents is an understatement for me and there were so many scents I wanted to offer but know for sure there are some you just would not want to put on your body but would love to smell in the home, so I am very happy to be experimenting with wax now too. CP soap is in the VERY distant future as I would like to get to know one difficult product at a time I also love this forum and the people so so much I am sure if I ever want to start CP soap, I will find helpful information here. I love the rustic look of the CP vs. M&P and all the beautiful, unique things very talented people come up with. Such an art and I appreciate every artist out there for such great talent. Definitely understand about the candles. I would love to venture into them at some point, but see more and more people having difficulties depending on certain oils (heavier vs lighter) with wicking up and down and all around to prevent this and that plus needing insurance. I heard room sprays and aroma beads sell well, which I never would have thought would I will keep you posted and good luck to you as well, I love talking to you and everyone else here <3
  2. Yes, Aztec is on my list along with Candlewic, NG, RE/AH, FB, WSP, Maple Street, Peak and Millcreek! This doesnt include the 4 other suppliers I ordered from such as ICS, Flaming, Indigo and CS. I only received the orders from CS and Flaming today, but so far I am very impressed with all the oils I purchased OOB, very strong and true to their name . Am hoping for the best when put in wax.
  3. Sounds good, I actually have a larger order on its way from them (Indigo) as well and I will report back also! Thank you so much about the Peak sale, going there now! I have yet to order from Maple Street, I have 4 FO orders on their way and now I think I will try Peak which makes 5. This will be enough for me for now...I think! I am with ya on the limiting suppliers and totally agree about a couple oils great here a couple great there, cannot live without these from here and so on! Oh my goodness, I had WSP on my list to try as well and now you're making me think about looking out for their sale as well I am hearing more and more about Candlesource being good, but I guess I havent put them on my list to try as I do not see descriptions on their site unless I am missing them? Thank you so much and you have a wonderful New Year as well
  4. It is funny you mentioned this because I have been putting a list together on what I will be ordering from Peak soon and birthday cake is number 1 on my list and very excited to try! I am happy to hear 6% throws nicely as I am already stuck on 8% for most except heavier oils, I love nice strong oils that require less to throw well. I definitely agree on shipping. It is more expensive in the beginning of me choosing certain oils as I am limiting myself to no more than a dozen oils from each place, so that actually makes shipping even worse because I am not ordering enough for the shipping costs to be worth it. However, I cannot settle on an oil until I at least TRY another suppliers just to be sure its the best lol. Such a blessing and a curse that we have so many suppliers . On another note, it is nice to know we have enough to where we can find almost any oil you can think of from at least one
  5. Scratch that, looking into CS further, they will be 1 of my main suppliers! Just going to see which ones I can and cant live without at this point.
  6. No need to be sorry, I am pleased about your results as I do not use WSP myself (yet lol). Just heard a lot more people are using them, so I was worried I would again have another supplier to order from
  7. I have not, but good to know they worked out for you! May just have to spend money testing yet again another supplier
  8. I guess I am shocked with that one as I'm hearing more and more that WSP has some good, strong quality oils that is worth the higher price tag as none of them usually are duds. Well that's good to know even they have those misses (probably few and far between) as do all. I was thinking about using them as one of my main suppliers as it seemed safe to say that most would work well. PPW is a definite I have to keep (I LOVE IT), I guess back to the drawing board for this one stubborn scent lol
  9. SC...southwest candle? What's your reasoning for not using peak as much? Ordering, shipping, quality, scent throw? They have a couple oils I use but am testing around for replacements (trying to keep less suppliers as possible), so debating on keeping peak or not as one. Their name seems very highly known and used so it's hard for me to drop them. However, it's hard to drop any that have good oils, if even a few. Argh!
  10. Hi Kelly, I have heard of emulsified scrubs and was going to attempt to make them as I used to make whipped scrubs using butters and oils but became a nightmare to ship to people. Do emulsified scrubs melt during shipment or warmer months since they essentially have butters and oils like I used to do or does the e-wax hold it up? Thank you!
  11. How did their oils work out for you?
  12. Anyone testing or love this company lately?
  13. HI Kat, I know it was off topic but I too have been on a search for PPW, but haven't tried Maple street or even thought about blending 2 of the same scent oil. May I ask what was wrong with each on their own? How was the blend with a bit more pecan from CS? Also, do you order other scents from ICS and maple street? If so, what are your favorite oils and which one would you keep and which eliminate if you had to?
  14. You did just fine! I may replace NG with RE then despite NG being at the very top of the highly rated poll list from candle makers. It is sometimes hard for me to go with what everyone else uses anyways because I have not tried their products using NG oils to see if it fits my personal expectations. Also, I find myself wanting nothing but the best and sometimes most people (with no offense intended) will judge oils by just OOB, adequate throw, convenience and pricing along with shipping costs. I have CS on my list which is for sure highly known and true to be very good, but they dont have but maybe a handful of scents I want to use. Therefore, do you think its worth ordering from them in your opinion?
  15. Kat, No need to apologize on a long paragraph, I love reading about this. You are so wonderful and so is this board!! I am also very thankful for this forum, I think the support from everyone is amazing. I honestly feel like I have true friends here, sometimes more than the ones in person haha. I did have a sampler ready from Maple Street and closed out, I dont remember why. I guess I just see EVERYONE recommending and loving Maple Street that I felt it was too good to be true or because its not really been heard of much until now. Plus usually I can find pretty much anything I can think of on here and there wasnt much on MS. Maybe I am paranoid and it really is that good. I will definitely purchase the sampler then, you have me convinced lol. Definitely see how shipping from so many suppliers adds up now that Ive been doing it. I also wish we could get oils from the same supplier, or heck maybe even 3 would be nice! I guess at least I am seeing now that my choices for my main suppliers seem on point except for NG, I now am on the fence about them. I kept them in my main squeeze of suppliers due to everyone else raving about them, but I am not so sure. Ugh, it never ends. I know everyone has different preferences and only I can test and know whats right for me, but geeze lol. I also like paraffin and parasoy vs just soy, I think it makes the FOs slightly less picky for a wonderful scent. So far Flaming and Aztek are only a $3 difference in my total price of just wax and shipping included. Indigo just has so many unique, fun ones is why I really thought about trying them. Ive had some of their oils mostly used in bath, but I did try the funnel cake in wax and the throw was AMAZING and lasted 12-14 hours! Maybe I randomly picked a good thrower though, I know some scents are just stronger than others naturally prior to adding to products. Not to mention, that was 1 oil from them and I know each supplier has good and bad. Please, please let me know what you think of Indigo if you try them!!
  16. I will try and figure out how to message you through here
  17. Thank you as well. All I've been doing since this initial post has been research so I do know all of this plus more now. I thank this forum for everything, you are all such pros!!!
  18. Hi there Elaine, Thank you for responding, love your signature quote by the way! I absolutely 200% feel the same way about spending more if its worth it. What I mean is if I can find the same FO that throws just as well for a cheaper price, every little bit helps. Y'all are making me reconsider possibly replacing NG with either RE, Elements or WSP.
