    thanks! i poured another today at 200 and it stilled looked like the one i poured at 175. i love the crystal pillar wax and never have problems with that. but, the crystal container wax just doesnt look right to me.

    What temperature do you guys pour crystal container wax? i just got some and tried it in a 16 oz. Victorian jar and it looks chunky, not crystallized. i poured it at 175. should i go hotter?

    i just got a "tropical sensation" sample pack from rustic escentuals. i loved pretty much every sample! only thing is, when you order the sample pack, the website doesnt tell you exactly which scents are in it. i got, almost paradise, orchid rain, mediterranean garden, island mist, hawaiian pineapple, crystal blue waters, ocean breeze, coco-mango, serengeti sunset, and monkey farts.

    i have 5 molds i got yesterday that im going to spend all weekend testing. then, im going to try to figure out what kind of candles to put in baby shower baskets. but first, im kicking off the weekend by going to see FINDING NEMO on ice on friday night! oh yeah, and bug my brother to finish designing a logo for me!

    i got Pipe Tobacco from brighterscents.com a couple of weeks ago. ive made two candles with it. one i added a bit of black cherry to make a Cherry Pipe Tobacco. that one literally knocked my socks off it was so strong! i liked it better by itself.

    today i got an order from candlechem. i had ordered 4 molds and they gave me a tulip mold for FREE! its a fairly decent-sized mold also. i want to test it immediately! what color and scent should i do?

    thanks everyone! i leave a stack of color pic brochures and business cards along with a free candle for them to burn there. UPS, my bank, and a auto repair shop all burn a candle with my brochures next to it. i have gotten a decent amount of orders by doing it that way.

    well, i just got back from going to 4 places. a coffee shop placed an order. a gas station said probably; just have to check with the owner. the florist said hopefully in the next couple of weeks. and the auto parts store is doing advertising for me. all in all, a pretty decent day!

    for me, the newspaper ad didnt work. i paid $200 for my ad to run once a week for 3 mos. the only calls ive ever gotten from it is from people wanting me to advertise in their publications.

    yesterday i got my first business account to sell soy lotion at a tanning salon. it was a fairly small order; but it gave me the courage to do what im going to do today. im going all over town with sample candles to see if businesses will let me sell or advertise. i have a few places that already let me advertise, but id love to actually have the candles in some stores! unfortunately, i dont usually handle rejection well, so this will be a trying day. wish me good luck!

    i accidently did it one time. the candle crumbled inside the jar. it was really weird. and it burned straight down and never really had a melting pool. so, i wouldnt recommend it.

    LAVENDER! hands down, i hate the smell and it permeates through my house for a good 24 hours! i LOVE pouring Vanilla Hazelnut Mocha!

    my glasses falling off the top of my head and landing in a huge pot of melted wax! i STILL cant get the residue off and it happened a year ago!
