    i know that most grocery stores carry a dozen for about $7. you might have a problem getting them year-around, though.

    what is crystal wax? i am now using it to make pillars, and they turn out beautiful! but, how should i put it on my brochure? i dont want to claim it as a soy if its not. how do you guys classify it to your customers?

    i have spent over $100 and almost a year trying to duplicate a specific scent. i bought the candle from a company called, "restoration hardware". they have a website. its the beach house scent. everything i try comes out slightly sweet. its supposed to smell EXACTLY like sea air. i have tried numerous companies, and have yet to get anything even remotely close.

    ok, i will! i hope to try it this week. all my supply orders are taking forever because of the holidays, and its killing me! i ordered alot of new scents.

    i wondered if it might be kind of nasty, also. but, then i remembered that there are so many "spiced" fruit scents out there, why not try lime? what if i mix 1 part cinnamon, 1 part vanilla, and 1 part key lime? im waiting on an order of scents so i can try it, but im dying to find it out what this combination would smell like!

    i make a HUGE quantity of coffee mug candles for customers. i have tried the one from Peak, but i have one use all the time from MCSOYWAX.COM its called Vanilla Hazelnut Mocha. once a customer buys one, they immediately order more! One lady ordered 10! I use black coffee mugs from wal-mart that cost around 50 cents each. i also put a cinnamon stick in the mug and sprinkle the top with a cinnamon/sugar mixture. i use the pure soy wax and this has a great scent throw! i even had a customer post a review about them on the internet! i can email you a pic of one i did if you like. hope this helps!

    i got to thinking it was probably because of the scent because i LOVE the little penguins and seal that is in the candle. u know how much smell affects things!

    well, i certainly did not mean to disrespect anyone. i apologize for coming off that way. i do admire her for creating this product, and spent quite some time on her website before i had purchased it. i ordered the arctic scene in the ocean scent. i think it is very cute! i even told my friends about it and two ordered it and loved them! i was just voicing my opinion on the one i bought. i was actually planning on ordering another one in another scent to see if maybe that is my problem. again, im very sorry to everyone, especially soygirl!

    i use ecosoya pure soy wax. recently i been having the edges of my candles turn white a few days after i make them. i use dye blocks and have never had this problem before. can anyone tell me why?

    one company i would NOT recommend is Candle Supply Central. customer service is horrible! i once waited 6 weeks for an order of wax. their prices are Really Good, but their scent have a slight "nutrasweet" smell.

    has anyone ever mixed cinnamon with key lime? if so, how did it turn out? i thought of it last week, but im out of cinnamon to test it myself.

    i recently bought one and they are kind of cheesy in person. they look cheaply made. guess that is what i get for buying someone else's candle!

    i use the exact same container from wal-mart. mine burn completely evenly using millcreek wicks, 62-52-18c. two of them. i have a pic i took last week showing the wick placement, but this site says the file is too big. its a little hard to explain, but i can email the pic to you if you like.

    i use eco-soya votive blend with the 15-hour votive molds and wick pins. the tops come out gorgeous! they come out of the mold fairly easily. especially if you use mold release spray (not required, though).

    i just received an order from northstar last week. i personally find that their scents smell "phony". i usually order from peak candle, millcreek, and candles and supplies.com.
