My recipe calls for alcohol instead of witch hazel. Instead of putting it in the recipe as called for, I put it in a spritz bottle, and mist it til I think it is about right. Then if it starts to feel dry, I spritz it again. I don't spritz them after they are done.

The blue is ultramarine blue not the neon blue. The one in the middle dreamsickle is just the neon orange. The one on the right was a 2 color (neon orange & neon red) swirl. It blended a little more than I wanted. It looks like it was swirled with several colors though. I don't think you can see it in the pic, but I see orange, red, pink and a mixture of the orange & red.

These are a few soaps I did this weekend. Angel Wings ( ultramarine blue), Dreamsickle (neon orange middle). Savannah Sunset (neon orange and neon red). The dreamsickle, and the Savannah Sunset were made with the Neon colors from the mica co op. Pic isn't the greatest, but you can get the idea. Edited: Do you see an image of "ET" in the blue? I didn't see it when I first posted, now that's all I see. lol It looks like one eye open (on left) and one shut.

My Walmart didn't have the blue bag, they had everything else though. My Walmart had them back by automotive in the center isle. Since they have remodeled, I don't know where to look for them now. I found mine at Lowe's.

I have to second the Island Mango from Heartfelt. Haven't tried any of the others.

Very pretty soap. My neon purple I got in the co op goes to pink as well. I haven't tried the other neons yet, so not sure what those will go to.

I work with a rather snooty person. She won't buy candles from me or anything else for that matter...it's homemade. I sell alot of soap and candles at work. After word got out about the soap, she decided she needed to try some. Well, today she told me she was needing more, and needed to tell me in the future when she was getting low so that she'd have it before running out. :rolleyes2 My DH won't use my soap, won't even try it...his reasoning is "it has lye in it". He won't listen to the fact that ALL soap has lye. More for me and he can buy his own darn soap.

My vote is for KY as well.

I use the solar salt. The bag I got, at Lowe's (blue bag) is coarse salt. I don't like it that coarse, so I take a hammer (lightly) to it. Then when I get it the size I want, I sift out the really fine bits. What I have seems to disolve really quick.
