  1. Thanks, I knew I could count on like minded addicts. Pam, how do you put/get it on the wick tabs? When I was admiring it at the craft store I noticed it came in one of those round plastic containers with a flip top type lid. I remember thinking, I wonder how they use this stuff. You don't just dip your finger in there and pull out a gob and slap it on the tab do ya?
  2. I twist my wicks before I put them in the jars and they stay twisted Stella. I don't know how many twists you put on yours though. I saw the tacky wax today at the craft store and now I'm kicking myself for not buying it (but I did get me a soap mold. Ssshhhh don't tell the DH :tiptoe:).
  3. You can do sugar too? Wow. It seems that melt and pour is pretty versatile then for a newbie like me. Now I need to find some soap molds. I have bought them as gifts for my family but never for me.
  4. Another nice one Kelly. You go girl
  5. Nice salt bar. Hope it works good for you.
  6. Salt bars are made through cold process only and not hot process? Can they be made with melt and pour? I do have some elephant skin that could use some sloughing help
  7. Could someone please tell me what the heck a salt bar is? I saw some in the B&B gallery I have zero clue as to what they are and what they are for exactly.
  8. I am so new to soap that you can't even call me a newbie so take everything I say with a grain of salt. I have tried both Bramble Berry's M&P Shea and Peak's M&P Shea and I did see a difference between the two. I don't know, maybe my skin is sensitive but I felt a little "bite" (I don't know how else to describe it better) when I used the soap I made with the BB base. I've always wondered if it was just me or if there really is a difference. I had a few bars of each laying around in a drawer which had been there for over 2 years :embarasse and the BB one had formed little bubble/crystal like things on the top where the Peak had not and I wonder why that is too. Maybe all the difference's were due to the f/o? I don't know.
  9. Somebody has to block me from the B & B gallery because I can't keep out of here now. I'm spending way to much time looking at all the beautiful soaps you all make and I'm hating it. Looks like you are another person I will be on the look out for soap pics. Very~very nice! Thanks for posting.
  10. Banana nut bread~ sorry. CC= Cierra Candle I'm beginning to wonder if it was miss-labeled. It does not smell like banana's at all and it's more like a burnt mocha scent.
  11. I purchased a 4 oz tester of BNB from CC and boy does it ever stink. It stinks in the bottle, out of the bottle, in the pot, poured and bagged. I found that it smells more like hazel nut mocha without the hazel nut and then burn the heck out of the mocha. Anyone else having luck with their f/o's? I've only tried a couple of different f/o testers so far and both have left me going, "what was I thinking". Don't learn if you don't try I guess...
  12. Oops, disregard the "arrow" with the red x. Hope this works :smiley2:
  13. You have to be in Advanced reply mode. Make sure your pop-up blocker is turned off.
  14. Another nice one to add to your collection Kelly.
  15. I've had some luck over the years with CBA. It can work but....... it can cause you to invent new curse words. :rolleyes2
  16. Nice Janet. Love the heart shape. You are coming right along.
  17. Very lovely Pennie and I enjoyed looking at them. Thanks for posting.
  18. One way is use Photobucket. You upload your pics there and then copy and paste the image to here. Here is a link: www.photobucket.com Here is an old thread with more info: http://www.craftserver.com/forums/faq.php?faq=vb3_reading_posting#faq_vb3_attachments
  19. Nice job. Looks like you will be spending more money on soap.
  20. That is a good reminder for me and something I had read before but forgot. Thanks!
