    Bleeding colors?

The way I try to see things is there is always an upside to the downside. For me, the downside to my soapies bleeding:cry2: is now they are not sooooo purdy any more so I will use them! See how things work out for the best sometimes!
  3. The wick twists are cute but look like a pain in the hindend to do. You must have lots of patience. Love the red one but I'm partial to that color. What size/type of wicks are those? They look pretty fat to me and probably good for twisting.
  4. Thanks Chuck for the explanation. I guess I see a new weapon in my future.
  5. Do you ride or just a refresher? Maybe I should just message you LOL.
  6. ~Sigh~ (I'm) dreaming and wishing, dreaming and wishing. Love them. All the ones I have seen of your's so far, I would not be able to pick which I like the best.
  7. Yep, they started it all right *faint*
  8. Stop it! I'm on a diet.
  9. Patchouli that I didn't get poured last weekend and then some old standbys.
  10. Very cute and I love the little ducky. Nice touch!

    Bleeding colors?

From what you describe I think my new soap I made is bleeding then.
  14. Love these! When did you make these? Are they melt & pour or CP?

    Bleeding colors?

Thanks LCB. I'll go have peek....
  16. I know this thread is about regional rate box C but I was told these types of boxes (A, B & C) could only be used by commercial USPS customers that ship like 55,000 parcels per year (read big volume). I must be missing something? Never mind. I finally got a straight answer from the Postal Service after going through a few customer service reps. Jeepers!
  17. Just call me "Darth" from now on I have to say that my soap even though it's not as lathery as I would like, it is one heck of a lot better then the "other" one in the shower....
  18. I use the liquid dye from Peak like I said in a earlier post on this thread. Some of those dye's I bought not long after I joined this forum give or take a year or two. So far, I have not had a rubber top fail besides a faulty one from the get-go (which was promptly terminated). I can't say why since I'm not a chemist but I never allow them to "lay"over and always make sure they are upright. Now that I have said all this all my droppers will take a dump. :rolleyes2
  19. Carrots in soap?! Oh my goodness!! The things I am learning on "the dark side"!
  20. I have seen lots of talk from the soap gurus about colors bleeding and making sure you buy non-bleeding colors. Frankly that has me scratching my head bigtime What I'm wondering is, do the colors bleed when they are poured and the soap is not "set up" yet or, does the bleeding happen after? Is there one type color or coloring method (ie; mica's/liquid coloring) that is prone to this? So far on my soap journey I haven't came across non-bleeding colors but I am a new, new newbie and things are still not making any sense yet even if it's right in front of me. I know they are out there cause you all have said so and I believe it and I WILL find them!
