  1. I've never had a complaint about double wicks either. In fact I have had people happy that I double wick, they told me they knew it would burn better that way.
  2. I only have one presto pot. I always leave it empty. When im melting my wax I weigh it out before I put it into the presto, and then empty it when it's all melted.
  3. I want to clarify that when I said I personally dont like free sites I meant sites like geocities/angelfire etc where they place ads on the site. Making your site by yourself is perfectly fine so long as it looks professional. I did mine myself (tweaked a template) and im happy with it!
  4. I personally wouldnt buy from someone with a free site unless I already 'knew' them (through boards or whatever). I personally pay less than $50/year for both my domain name and my hosting (through godaddy), it's not expensive at all!
  5. I would think it's too late... I do water discounts and mine is usually ready to cut after 12 hrs!
  6. You need to find out if the owner wants to do wholesale or consignment. You also need to decide which one you'd rather do!
  7. Bakery type scents will probably do well, I know Warm apple pie & cinnamon buns do well for me in the fall. You may have some people doing early christmas shopping as well, so no harm in bringing christmas scents!
  8. I'd wait longer for your repour. I wait until the next day and always get a smooth top! No nipples!
  9. Another liquid user here! I love it, so easy to measure (as opposed to blocks) and the very little scent it has does NOT transfer through to your candles *I use Peaks*
  10. None of them look messed up! They look great! You're definitely doing well!
  11. I have a blue tent (there was a $100 price difference between it and the white one!) I dont notice that it casts a blue hit, just a regular shadow. I keep very cool under it as well. I've NEVER seen a show in my area requiring a white tent.
  12. I dried mine by hanging it upside down in a cool dark area. Then I crushed it by hand and infused it in olive oil. I put it into soap without any added scent, but sadly the mint scent didnt come through. It did make a nice pale green soap though!
  13. Ditto! (only I don't sell HP soaps!)
  14. Wow that must be an awesome bar of soap!!
  15. http://www.canwax.shoppingcartsplus.com/page/page/634635.htm There you go! And they're located in Canada as well, so no border fees!
  16. I use Peaks Orange liquid dye and I get a great orange colour.
  17. I agree, the Kitchen Aid's are where it's at! Greatest tool ever!
  18. WOW! The watermelon looks awesome! Such a great transition between the 2 colours!
  19. I make soap & b&b products. Check out my link in my signature!
  20. I just made myself a simple one in photoshop, mine's just a coloured background w/ text.
  21. For myself I use small chunks at a time of it plain as a facial soap (it's AWESOME for acne!) I plan on mixing it in with my complexion soap for my next batch, im just going to crumble it and mix it in at trace.
  22. I wait (next day, next week... haha) Just because it's soo much easier to clean out once it's soap. I always let it soak in hot water and most of it comes out, then I get out whatever's left and sometimes toss it into the dishwasher (but DONT put it in the dishwasher with lots of soap still on it! too many bubbles!)
  23. Thanks for the tip, I made a plug last night and put it onto as many boards as I could find! I'm all about free advertising!
  24. My votives all sit open, but I leave the lids on the jars. (I assumed your poll was about jars)
