  1. If you're using a presto you can melt the wax directly in it safely (below 200 degrees) You dont need to add water to it. Pam I'm glad you're ok, please dont use direct heat next time!
  2. Another Canadian here with tips... I'd actually suggest shipping it airmail parcel post. It's never more than a $1 or so more than surface (and for me surface does take the full 4-6 weeks!) so i'd rather pay the extra $1 and get it sooner. Never mark the value as more than it's worth (we will often pay taxes on the value at the border.) If possible, it's appreciated if you mark it as a gift. If you have any more questions feel free to pm me!
  3. Just a heads up for the canucks interested in Peaks.... I will be running a Canadian peaks co-op at the end of September. So if you're willing to wait you can save some cash!
  4. I definitely agree with sudsnwicks. I also use godaddy, and if you're planning on going at this as a business it really is much better to have your own domain name. And it's much easier for people to remember!

  11. I'd suggest spritzing them w/ rubbing alcohol right after you pour them into the molds. It disperses the bubbles.
  12. I remember someone else saying that they get that textured look by pressing bubble wrap against the soap before it hardens. I LOVE those boxes though!
  13. no need for a preservative because there's no water added!
  14. It's all personal preference, I do 0.5-0.75oz ppo.
  15. The cheapest I found them was here http://naturebath.com/sample_packets.html
  16. Legally in the US if they're just selling it as soap they dont have to have any ingredients listed. It is scary to me though! Allergies are abundant! (we do have to list ingredients here in Canada)
  17. It sounds like it may have overheated. Did you have lots of honey or any other additives in it?
  18. Yeah so long as you're positive you've mastered what you're going to start selling then go for it!
