I think maybe visit a store that sells the incense and compare with your own nose. That's what I've done on several of the BBW Type scents that were different but I wasn't familiar with before buying the FO.

Agreed.  If it's a dupe that you can access (BBW, Yankee, perfume, etc) I would run up to the store and do the sniff test.  If it's a perfume dupe, make sure to spritz a piece of paper and take it with you.  If it comes in wax form than buy one and compare it at home with the oil.

I really love cranberry scents too.  Which company is ICS?

    Cranberry cobbler!  Sounds wonderful!

ICS is Indiana Candle Supply.  NG's Cranberry Cobbler is just wonderful.  I keep a bottle here just for myself.

I"m glad  your response time was wonderful.  Mine, not so much.

I placed an order on January 31st, she created a label on February 1st.  It was still showing as a label created on Feb 7th, so I texted.  Feb 8th, she said she was running behind and would ship the next day.  Feb 14th, still showing as the label was created (not shipped), and I texted her again.  Today's the 16th.  It's still showing that the label was created, not shipped, and she hasn't responded to my  second text.   I'm going to give her another day or two for the product to ship, and then I'll simply initiate the charge back process if she hasn't.

Sorry to hear about this.  Maybe she's running behind because of her recent sale.  Try shooting her an email because I tried texting and she got back to me quicker when I emailed.

  5. Ireland has some beautiful beaches so perhaps a sea/ocean type scent you can name after one their amazing beaches.  It's also amazingly green so perhaps some type of outdoorsy scent like a grass, wild grass or moss scent. I would also consider green clover and aloe and don't forget about bluebells!  You might also consider fruit type scents as their raspberry and blackberry brambles are quite something in the Summer as well as gooseberries and loganberries.  I happen to love the scent of Irish Spring soap but that may be too literal for what you're looking for.

Fillmore has a Lavender Sage & Rosemary that is very nice. I know its not quite the same but it could still make a wonderful sub. I used to use it in my spring candle and soap line and it was a big seller.

I agree with Candybee.  It's wonderful.  Perhaps you could add a little cucumber to it.

Thanks for taking the time to respond, you have answered some of my questions. Yes, it seems like a lot of people use polypro bags, glassine bags, paper bakery bags, etc. and I'm trying to decide what to go with and which one I may like better. I was referring to unwrapped melts in different scents, none being individually wrapped, just stacked together in a bag or container. Reason is, I'm wondering if you can avoid all that individual wrapping/packaging in order to cut costs and waste. But, I would not want to avoid costs if I only end up damaging or contaminating the scents of my melts/tarts.

I get where you're coming from.  One thing to consider is that polypro is recyclable!  Also another consideration is if you decide to package your products unwrapped, how do you plan on making sure your clients know which scent is which (i.e., if they ordered two or three sea type scents).  Just something to think about.  Perhaps run a "stress" test of combining several different scented melts/tarts for a while and see what the outcome is.  Good luck!  :)

Hello @TallTayl, @Nickie, @soshiegirl and others that know about this. I just want to verify that what I'm saying and thinking is correct, I don't want to spread false information.

Is it true that you can safely wrap or package scented products in wax paper or glassine bags without compromising their scent throw?

Here's another question I have. If you package several different scents together in the same polypro or glassine bag or metal tin, will all the scents be absorbed by the wax so that all the melts end up smelling similar?

Hey @Laura C - I can't speak to packaging products in wax paper or glassine bags.  I only package my products in polypropylene bags.  When you refer to packaging different scents together in the same bag, do you mean individually packaged or unwrapped?   I package all products individually or multiples of the same scent in a single polypro lined bag.  However, I will store similar scents together in a storage container and do ship different scented products together (in one order), in a single polypro bag, but they are individually wrapped and labeled.  To date, I've never had any scent morphing via absorption when done this way.  Hope this helps.
