  1. Have seen them on e-bay, but never paid too much attention as I got mine locally in Canada when the supplier had them on sale.
  2. Well... I always thought aluminum, but the last two I did in polycarb molds and they turned out really well. I cooled the molds in the fridge and made sure my pouring temps were low. I liked being able to see what was going on. However, I do find the molds get cloudy but they still work.

  4. I love the marbelling. So far your first attemps have been waaaay better than my many attemps. I use 4794 for votives because I like the low melt point. Have never used it for pillars, but I think I read that a few others have tried it with additives to raise the melt point. I am curious about how pillars will burn using this wax. What wick did you end up using? As for polycarb molds, I have used my heat gun on them, but with a gentle touch (not as heavily as with aluminium). They are getting a little cloudy, but still good to use.
  5. I thought so too, but I've cut several up with a power saw and found they burned the same. Like the concave, but often use the flat tops too. For some odd reason, to me (all in my head), my white candles look nicer with flat tops
  6. The only thing I would worry about is that the pillar may come apart before or during burning. Have had that happen with a tilted layer. Votives would be ok because you burn them in a container.
  7. Looks good to me. How is the flame?
  8. Geat going Love that Spam one
  9. Nicw work. Saw a picture of a vase made of wax a long time ago. Like those chunk colors too.
  10. Those are gorgeoous. Such and inspiration
  11. Love them. Nice effect. Keep going to try it....hmm sometime
  12. Very impressive and creative. How large is the cake. It looks so real
  13. Wow! Really like the bottom left one. Eye-catching
  14. Thanks again for all your help. Think I should have said that the cups are solid, with no hole, so that you can put tealights in them. Here's a picture of the inside.
  15. Thanks to you both. I looked at that site earlier today Ducky and I think they have a hole in the bottom so you can put a cord through for a glass light candle, but thanks for looking for me Think he may have to find someone who has a metal press or can cast metal
  16. I have a dipping can that looks like that. Can also be used as a candle mold, but would probably have to drill a hole in it.
  17. Really like the colors that you used to match the FO's. Great chunkie
