I am sooo bummed. I have this awesome customer who buys off of me constantly. Who also was going to put a good word for me with the school district for a possible fundraiser. And have a candle party for me. Well she saw me talking to this gentleman, who owns a store (in her words, a dirty store) who was a potential wholesale customer, Private label one tooboot. And willing to buy alot. Anyways my business name wasn't going to on any of the labels at all. Agreed by both of us. And totally flipped out on me on the phone, she told me that she didn't think I was that way, and that she isn't buying off of someone that would associate themselves with that type of business. And the fundraiser and party were off. I tried explaining to her in a business perspective what I was doing but she was totally freaking out still. Now she thinks I'm a dirty person, lol. Oh well I guess, you win some you lose some. I lost a great customer but am gaining a great wholesaler, hopefully. Ok, I'm done venting. Well I ordered some samples, don't have the list in front of me but a few of them are the ones that others have used before. I can't wait. My customers have asked for different holiday scents this year than the usual ones that are around every year. And if at least half of them, work well in my wax then they wont be disappointed. It seems that there has been alot of candle makers popping up everywhere, in fayette county and they all buy from NG or places that are near us. So I have to go else where if you know what I mean. I've read on here that some of their FO's don't throw that good in soy so that's why I'm asking. I know that what may work for one may not work for another but I'm going to take the chance as long as I know it worked for one. And plus I need to cut down the list of samples I want to try. My son has had Poison Ivy 3 x's so far this summer and I used Tecnu Oak-N-Ivy brand it's for poison oak and ivy, skin cleanser. It got rid of it within a week . Mindy

Thanks, duh I didnt' even think of matches. Wow, you got alot of things for free from Vista Print, I always forget to look there. Well I called a few local places and asked if they could make them, one had no clue what I was talking about, and ran off their list of magnets available and offered to send me a brochure, I told him No Thank You. And the other, one I left a message. So hopefully they'll know what I'm asking. My mom uses them for her business. And they are really nice people. I also emailed a promo place, because they had every shaped magnet other than a candle one, so hopefully they'll be able to help. Just in case I confused the rest of you, did you ever see a Partylite magnet, it's in the shape of a 3 wick candle, with their name at the bottom. Thanks for the ideas, Mindy

I can't find them anywhere, I'm guessing you would have to special order them. I'm trying to think of some promotional products to give to customers when they order rather than the usual samples I give them. If anybody knows TIA, Mindy

I'll be working on my new packaging for my tarts, and am also going to test out some samplers I got from a few different places. I also have to make about 2 doz. tarts in 10 different scents for a craft store. Mindy

I got 2 new orders yesterday for blue colored candles scented lemon curd and Pumpkin Pie. Was the first time I ever made candles like that. Mindy

Me I like Baby Powder, but my customers prefer Baby Magic. Mindy

I tried Joywax, when I first started making candles. It's funny that you posted this because I was going to try it again. I didn't get any frosting, always got smooth tops, cold and hot throw was good, and I always got better colors (deep colors). The only reason I changed waxes is because, 100% soy was cheaper and it was in flakes. Good Luck, Mindy

I'm looking for a Fruit Coctail FO and this is the only place I have found that carries this scent. The price isn't bad, I'm not sure about shipping though. For a 2 oz it cost $5.37 and for a 16 oz it cost $19.49. They are located in Waynesboro, Virginia. If anybody know of thems, please share or if you know of another supplier that sells this FO. Hello and Welcome to CT. Usually the supplier will tell you what temp you should heat the wax and when you might want to add the FO. If they don't tell you, then ask. It might also be on their site. Good Luck and Welcome to the addiction, Mindy
