  1. Just Beautiful Donita. I am so glad your are posting pictures agian.
  2. I get my from www.uline.com . They really have some cute ones. Right now I just use the craft with the handles. I carry two sizes, one for jars and the bigger ones for the bears.
  3. Thanks everyone for your help. Bounty it is Donita. Got plenty of that.
  4. Oh Donita, I am glad you posted this. I also went to your site and could not fid them. Had to call my husband in to look at all your beautiful canes. Your work is awesome. I had saved one of your tutorials before but then my putor crashed and lost everything. I would like one of those catalogs when you get time please. Thank you.
  5. That would be great. Heck , Watertown is only about 35 miles from me. Hope you would carry parrifin too, not just soy.
  6. They looks great. I really like those tarts. Have not seen those before. Too cute.
  7. Well, maybe there is differant sizes of these. Works fine with round mold but the lip on the bottom of square is only 1/4 inch. Is what you are saying, you put the mold in the water before pourring? I have the chain and it stays down fine, its just getting it in the bucket. My last one for the night (round of course) came out better than all the rest. No pits, no bubbles on picture, no excess wax on picture, smooth inside. Just one problem, picture tilted. Gesh, I think I have had all the problems, all one differant ones. I am trying to do some of these for our VFW. OK back in the pot!!! This is fun, but boy does it take patience. Thank you for your help.
  8. I see alot of us are trying out hurricanes. I have been putting this off way to way. Well sort of got the idea on the round ones, have done 4 and now I want to do some square ones. Hold a mold does not fit it. Hmmm any ideas on this? The mold is 4 3/4 square and there is no way to do this from corner to corner with the notches in the wire. Anybody else have this problem or am I going crazy here?
  9. There is no other Connies Candles & Crafts. I will check with accountant agian to see what she says but she has said as long as my name was in it I did not need a DBA just sales tax number. Been filing taxes like this four 4 years.
  10. I am now going to set up a website. I have tax number in my name only. Here in NY my accountant told me that all that is necessary. My candles and all other crafts have my labels with "Connies's Candles & Crafts". I know there is Connies Candle Supplies and connies candles. I really would like to register my domain as Connies Candles and Crafts as that is what all my customers know me as. Do you think it would be ok or would it be too close. I really don't want to step on any ones toes or get into a dispute on infringement rights.
  11. I charge also. My register does it all for me. The only thing is, thats only good when you have electric. Outside shows I have to figure myself. My prices all say " plus sales tax".
  12. Got to say, I love this wax too. Yep its messy but the throw both hot and cold really makes me stay with it. I also cut the corners so the bag comes straight down. Only pain with that is the wrinkles, but i scoop that out with my fingers. I use a electric knife to cut mine. Wicking is a whole nother story.
  13. Wow!! Your the best. Those are truly beautiful.
  14. I use a either votive or tealight mold insert that screws into the wick hole in the mold. Don't remember where I got them though.
  15. When things calm down, I am going to get out those two new hurricane molds and start playing with them. Already have someone who wants to put them in their store next year.
  16. Anyone know how to come up with this. Daughter wants some candles in this scent. Does it really smell that good?
  17. Dang, I have place two orders to Peaks in the past week. I did not see this one. Oh how I hope I get it for a sample.
  18. Very cool Tanya. Good to see you back in the swing. You have not lost your touch girl.
  19. Very nice job!! Those look awesome. They would go very well in my livingroom as its all the bear and moose stuff.
  20. When I do my grubbie cakes I use a darker brown for the cake and then make the apple slices in a tanish color. Then pour frosting over in a cream clolor or white and use a medium brown for crumbles. Looks more natural than red apple slices.
  21. You can try adding some UV. It seems to help with mine, but I don't use soy.
  22. Yep, www.plushland.com or www.plushlandbears.com
  23. Just wondering if anyone orders from Plushland? I found a catalog from them and they have the cuttest stuffed animals. I have always ordered from First and Main but seems to me , Plushland is alot cheaper. Has anyone used these for waxing? I sell alot of these, now thru the holidays and I will not use dollar store animals for my critters. I also see their shipping is included. I like that!!
  24. The one thing I run out of first is brochures. Then bags. Just did a 3 day show last weekend and did great. Oh and I almost forgot - tissue. I wrap jars in tissue before I put in bags.
