  1. Hi Evy! It has been my experience that a soy candle will lose its "top scent" when it has no lid for awhile. If you use a hairdryer or heater of some kind on the top of it until it melts just a little bit the scent will return. It is best to keep a lid on candles to protect the top scent. HTH!
  2. Hi Luanne! I use the cinnamon red chips from Bittercreek for a deep red and then the ruby red chips or red from Bittercreek if I need a "cherry" type red.
  3. I use the dye chips too and I get a beautiful rich red with 3 cinnamon red chips per pound of soy wax. It always works for me in 100% soy!
  4. Thanks so much everyone for the information! The lady from Silvermoon ended up contacting me so I did order one of her molds. Thanks for the info on nurture soap supplies! I will certainly try them too and the micas look beautiful! Always looking for great micas also! Thanks again!!
  5. I just tried to order a silicone log mold from Silvermoon Soap Molds and the shopping cart did not work. Are they out of business?? Where do you get your favorite silicone log molds?? Thanks so much!
  6. Another gorgeous batch of soap Barbara!!! Awesome job! I consider it a victory to get a 2 color swirl let alone a 5! You go girl!!!
  7. Beautiful!!! I bet it smells heavenly!!!
  8. I totally agree with Candybee! Wonderful advice! She really is setting you up for an argument, unfortunately. Offering a replacement is the best way and the most simple. Obviously your products are awesome and you certainly don't need to defend them to her. This is definitely the down side of having a business! Best of luck to you!
  9. Wow!! Thanks so much everyone! They all sound wonderful and it will be hard to choose!
  10. Hi everyone! I am curious about Lonestar Candle supplies and I would love know your favorites! I use 100% soy for my candles and soy blend for my melts! Thanks so much!!!
  11. Oh my gosh!! I have such a weakness for anything pumpkin scented especially this time of year! I will absolutely have to try this one! Wow that sounds sooooo good and something different from your Pumpkin Spice, Cake, or Pie! Yum!!! (:
  12. Kimeroo, you just reminded me about baby powder! I forgot about that one! Definitely "gag" for that one! Lol! As far as the buttery popcorn, I only poured that one time and it only intesified my usual popcorn addiction to the point that I will never pour it again! NG Buttery Popcorn really did smell true to life to me! Lol! Too much!
  13. Noodle you are right! I have always loved anything I get from Sweetcakes. I do love the smell of my real roses in my rose garden but the rose fragrance oils I have tried are horrible! Perhaps I will get a sample of the one from Sweetcakes next time! Thanks!
  14. At the top of my list is ROSE!!!! Omg!!! I just can't take it! It gives me a raging headache and my whole house smells like a funeral parlor! The next one is Creme Brulee! Smells like rotten bannanas to me! Don't understand the popularity but it is another one not on my website! Lol! The third one is Christmas Hearth! I that one just makes my stomach turn! Others really like it and I just can't deal with it so it is banned forever as far as I am concerned! Lol!
  15. I completely agree! I just did a show this weekend and I had several people ask me if mine will melt in a scentsy warmer and I point out the scentsy warmer that I have with mine melting in it. Gee I have never had any discolour it yet and I have had it for 2 years! Lol! My regulars tell me all the time how much better and cheaper mine are than scentsy's! In fact the Scentsy rep at the show actually came over and bought some of mine to try out! Lol! Yes they are grasping at straws because the feel the pinch from us! Lol!
  16. They are wonderful and do work very well in soy at 1/2 oz per pound! My favorites are Buttery Gingerbread, Sage and Citrus, Buttercream Crunch, and Honeydew Melon! They are to die for in 100% soy and well worth the money!!
  17. I have always used the Redig Glo dye chips from Bittercreek and have always been able to achieve brilliant and vibrant colors! I get a beautiful, rich red with 3 cinnamon red dye chips per pound of wax. No frosting on the sides but there is some usual frosting on the top because I use 100% soy. I love them though and would never use anything else!
  18. I really do not like to do over 1 hour away but the furthest I have done is 2 hours away! It was one where we had to get up at 2:00 in the morning to be there in time to set up! It was 2 weekends in a row and I always did well but it was just so exhausting! Soooo I will just do 1 hour max from now on! May hat is off to those that travel far though!
  19. Thanks so very much Moonshadow!! I had no idea about the teatree and pennyroyal! I will avoid those and this is what I had in mind. Cannola, Pomice Olive Oil, Castor, shea butter, soy oil, rice bran oil, coconut oil, and palm oil. Would any of these be a problem? Thanks so very much!!
  20. Hi everyone! My newest adventure is cold process doggie soap! For those of you that have made it or have experience with it, are there any oils that should absolutely be avoided?? I am a total dog lover and it would break my heart to cause bad reactions in those sweet loveable creatures! Also is it always best to use essential oils? Any help and advice would be awesome!! TIA:cheesy2:
  21. The strongest and richest vanilla I have ever used is Vanilla Bean Supreme from BCN!! Wow!! It is cloyingly sweet and rich and oh so strong in soy!!! It has always been a best seller for me!!
  22. Lol!!!! Cool!!! I will have to try that sometime too! Love the earthy blends! Reminds me of my favorite "head shop" in town called Mother Murphy's! Thanks so much!!
  23. Candy those are gorgeous!!! Great job and love those swirls!
  24. Another vote for the 3x3 poly zip lock bags from Uline! Love those and they are the perfect size for my scallops!
