blacktieaffair
I had a friend give me a little right before I moved back down to Bama and since I didnt do candles, I haven't tried it yet. ( come to think of it I haven't even unwrapped it yet LOL )
ChandlerWicks
Thanks , maybe make a tart?
blacktieaffair
I might. Honestly don't know what I'm going to do with it yet. It's only about half a pound so I figure either a couple of votives to see how it will work in those ( made in the container ).
ChandlerWicks
I don't know if I'm correct with my thinking, but bakery FOs seem so much richer in soy. Have fun!
lmc
I agree, bakery does much better in soy.
Guest OldGlory
BTA, looks like you made it through the storm so far!Dagnabit, I was just there today picking up goodies for a wholesale order. And since my clients mostly want soy I'll have to try the new wax (although I am content with 464). If I don't try it, knowing it's there will bug me. Back to Aztec for me. rjdaines
Checked the website and they sell by the case. Wish I could get 5 lbs or so to try.
FaithfulScenter
They have 12 lb slabs for $20.76, I'm going to wait until tomorrow and order since they will be offering a discount.
ChandlerWicks
Soy slab? Darn I like the ease of the flakes.
FaithfulScenter
Soy slab? Darn I like the ease of the flakes. Me too, but I have a 14 year old that will gladly break it up, weigh it out, and put it into baggies for me.... I'm blessed like that!! lol
blacktieaffair
Yep, we've made it through, only a few tornadoes in the area last night but other than that, we've been situated between the circular bands and we didn't even get ANY rain until this morning. How freaky is that? I am just hoping I hear from a few of our members so I know they are ok . Their area seems to be getting pounded with rain Guess I could have put this over on the Hurricane Issac thread, but just wanted to address the comment here. Thanks for asking ! Barb
Thought about all weekend and finally placed my order for the 12 lb slab. I'm just curious as to whether it will frost less than the 464 and what the scent throw will be like.
jackbenimble
Is this a para soy blend or pure soy?
rjdaines
Is this a para soy blend or pure soy?Web site says 100% Vegetable Container Wax
rjdaines
The guidelines for this wax seem rather long and involved, wonder if it will be Presto Pot compatible. I tend to leave my wax molten for some time during a busy session of candle making.
chuck_35550
I couldn't use it in my turkey fryer, because the lowest setting is 200 degrees. Some ingredient(s) must be easily degraded by heat and would leave me to believe that the wax is not real stable. I would be interested to see a spec sheet on this stuff.Steve
