Stella1952
SO CUTE and FESTIVE, but OMG - did you have to sacrifice some ribbon candy to make the mold?

RichardLOZ
Pretty cool looking "candy". Some time involved painting the edges I imagine and looks great.
ksranch
SO CUTE and FESTIVE, but OMG - did you have to sacrifice some ribbon candy to make the mold? No, not actual candy. I had one of these candles for about 18yrs and have been in search of ever since. After a mold maker came very highly recommended this year, I took the chance - and boy am I glad I did! Didn't get it in time to market them this year - will test the waters next year, but hand painting the stripes is quite time consuming. Luckily, I'm one of those people that can't sit doing nothing so can paint them while watching tv/chatting with DH.Thanks for the kind words everyone! ksranch
Me tooI had it special made - I don't know if that means she can/will sell them now or not... guess I could email and tell her there appears to be interest and see if she plans to? Pam W
I wanna see a pic of this candle burned part way down - just curious :-}
Candybee
Those are awesome! I just thought of something. Instead of painting you could do a quick dip for the edges. Might work and save the time and cost of painting.
