Darbla
I'm looking for the darkest earthy, deep green, dirt, moss and fern covered, cool, damp, forest floor type of scent you can imagine. Something that would make you feel you were lost in a fairy tale black forest. If I can't find something like this I may try mixing a bunch of spruce, pine, cypress, sapmoss, patchouli, clover, and whatever I have in my stash to come up with something that is deep, dark, green and loamy.Preferably skin safe, but if not I'll be happy anyway to have it for room scent. Scent Cellar
Fallen Leaf by Candle Cacoon, one of my favorite scents.
Blest2BAmerican
Patchouli fits that description for me. That must be why I can't stand the stuff.

carol k
Mystic woods. I'm not sure if elements has it or if Rhonda (flickers) kept it.
nmhoneybear
That reminds me of Whimsical Forest from Day-Star. Check out the description and see if maybe you can add something to it if you need to. Only thing is, it is in the clearance section. You can get a pound for $8. Faerywren
Gaia from Moonworks smells like fresh turned earth. My son likes Cashmere Woods from Wholesale Supplies Plus. It's earthy, but smells masculinely perfumy (how's that for a description?) also.~Julia
Gypsyjen
I second the Gaia suggestion. OOB I can really smell the mushrooms! You can also try Rare Earth from Candle Cocoon. Very deep and earthy, though it reminds me more of spa mud than forest floor.

number2of7
While it may not have the "dirt" smell, don't forget to consider Merlin's Forest by Moonworks....it certainly was the first scent that came to my mind after reading your post. Scented
Buy some oakmoss and then combine it with some patchouli!
Darbla
Hmmmmm....how about a mixture of several of these? 'Gaia' + 'Merlin's Forest' or pine + something ozoney for coolness..... I don't want a single note dirt scent; trying for something that will encompass a lot of the scents you'd detect in a forest.
rctfavr3
Cedarwood and Cucumber + Dirt (any type) + Rosemary = good cool foresty scent. If using Gaia try adding a little Orris either in the EO or FO. It imparts a musty dry violet smell that enhances it nicely. Lastly, for a damp forest smell try adding a little of SOS's new Mushroom to Oakmoss. It's awesome. Smells just like shittake alcohol and has a unique distinction of smelling cold, slightly metallic and very pungent earthy. a little goes a long way. TartsByTammy
Nature's garden has a fragrance name "Fresh Outdoors" I have renamed it "Fresh Dirt" and people LOVE it. It smells like opening a bag of fresh potting soil
