Thinking of Spring...

CBE

Recommended Posts

My biggest springtime candle sales last year were:

Daffodils (Fillmore) sold out every candle

Mango Papaya (Peaks)

Wildberry Mousse (CS) also sold out every candle

Honeysuckle Rose (Honeysuckle Jasmine & Rose 50/50 from CS)

For my M&P soaps:

Olive Blossom (Flickers)

Tuberose & Jasmine (Fillmore)

Honeysuckle Rose (see above)

Tuscan Lace (Flickers)

I am still looking for a gardenia I like. I am starting to get requests for gardenia and plain jasmine and baby powder.

I am also looking for more spa and water type scents. I didn't have a spa scent so one day I made M&P soap and mixed a strawberrry and aloe scent together and called it Spa Treatment. Those completely sold out so I will be making those again this year.

But I am still looking for a fresh water or ocean scent that I like. I like

Peak's Ocean but it has too lite a throw so I mix in some Freesia and it makes the ocean salt fragrance pop. Really nice blend. I love experimenting with different scents.

I accidentally blended lavender with a strawberry scent together when I was making some lotion. I was bowled over. Absolutely loved it. I will give it a try this spring and see how my customers like it.

I am not selling (newbie in testing phase), but I have been testing blends with Q-tips and tins while waiting on my wick delivery.

Not to give away the ratios, but I have mixed the following:

Gardenia/Strawberry

Coconut/Lime/Violet

Rose/Lilac/Honeysuckle/Hyacinth (named after my company that I plan to open... one day!)

Honeysuckle/Jasmin/Amber

Mind you, not all of the ingredients are mentioned (I got to keep SOME mystery). But I got rave reviews for them when I did tealight samples to my testers (they look for scent strength and if it smells great hot and cold).

You guys are good, changing out the scents with the seasons. I would just have them all available, but then, I like getting what I want year round (I do florals in winter).

Olive Blossom (Flickers)

I see you get some oils from Fillmore... Their Olive Blossom is nice too!!

Anyway....It is way to cold to think of spring and summer scents!!! LOL..

All I can think of is getting warm!!!!

All I can think about right now is a nice warm beach!!!

Both the Green Tea and Green Leaves from Candlewic are AWESOME fresh scents

What type of wax do you use these in??

I am in driving distance of them....but only use red apple peel....I don't like most of their fo's I have tried..and since they don't give samples..and don't have reasonable priced samples I don't try them too often.

I only use them for wicks and wax.
