moniek
Does anyone know if cardboard sucks the scent out of tarts? I need to store them in something?!! Thanks!
tootie04
I dont know if it will "suck" the scent out...but I do know it will absorb the scent.tootie
artcwolf
I've gone to plastic shoe boxes from dollar tree for tarts and votives. they are PolyPro even.
sockmonkey
Yes, cardboard will absorb the odor. I've had customers brag that they kept the boxes the tarts came in and used them as air fresheners in closets.
TxGirl
I use the plastic shoe boxes that come with a lid from Wallyworld. I think they were a few bucks each. Very cheap and holds a lot, and can be stacked on top of each other for easy organized storage.

Jane42
We bought our storage buckets from Walmart to keep our extras in, but we use the kraft cardboard votive boxes from Bittercreek to store and take to shows.I haven't noticed the scent being sucked out, but there is no way I am taking them in and out between shows....we have around 25 scents - both votives and melts - so that would be 50 boxes. We buy the ones that hold 18 votives and we have our logo and scents labels on each box. We just couldn't figure out a nice way to display the votives and melts in the plastic buckets at shows. Also, because they fit tight in the cardboard boxes, they don't get marked up.
Darbla
If you shop at the dollar stores, definitely look for that 5 in the triangle with 'PP' under it, on the bottom of the box. The storage shoeboxes at my local Dollar General stores don't have that, but my Dollar Tree stores do.
kandlekrazy
Another thing that works great are the large ziplock plastic containers (or Glad). I get the big square ones and label the front with the scent, they stack nicely. They are #5 pp also so no scent sucking!
