Just getting back into soaping after a 2 year hiatus. So today I made 100% lard soap for laundry and tomorrow I am gonna make some beer soap...working on a recipe for that now.

The jars look like frosted tumblers....Genwax has them in 7oz and 10oz sizes...I am looking at the 7oz ones myself.

Did the flat one bow any?? How did your soaps turn out...did you have any trouble unmolding? I might get me one of the flat ones if it didnt bow out...also how many oz did you pour into the flat one?

Where is that "like" button at??? I agree 100%...I dont give a rats azz about the rougher look of soy...I been working with it since 2000 and frosting and wet spots...customers DO NOT care as long as it smells good and burns all the way down.

I am glad you got your money back. I went by there yesterday and didnt see anyone there. Losing his wife was just half the story...the relative he left in charge of the company so he could be with his wife needs to be hung!! They stole him blind and totally crippled the company...over 100,000 dollars. It is a huge mess and no lawyers here wanna take the case cause "family" is involved.

This is so sad...I placed an order too and got tired of waiting and went over there (I live in Tucson) the man was just really not with it...very upset and all. I saw partial orders sitting around and he just really didnt know where to start i dont think. He didnt have over half my order to which the refunded while i was there. He was there all alone and there was a girl up front at the computer but it was just a real sad scene. I wanted to cry...anyway I hope you all get your money back and all. I have not been back over there since that day...so i dont even know if they are still in the building.

I am not buying this one...I will wait a while and see how they do...good luck to all who have ordered...

neither have i and i have a few in a box going on one year old. They are just fine....just like the day after they were poured.

I CPHP any FO that i have questions about....I had my FIRST sieze in 12 years the other week...man is that soap ugly...I may have to do my FIRST rebatch!!

Best advice I have read yet....I dont have a storfront but i have been making candles for 12 years now...I started with gel and quickly switched to soy (when no one knew what soy was) and never looked back. I have tried parasoy blends but never found any i like as much as my soy....WELCOME and have fun!!

That sucks...I had my FIRST boo boo in a few years yesterday....warmed up the water and mixed my honey in and then didnt wait for it to cool...i was gonna CPHP it so figured i didnt have to wait...well....i had my first VOLCANO of lye....very interesting....didnt know i could still move that fast!!!!

Sat at the 2nd street market here was real good for me. It was just so-so till about 5pm (we are open 10-7) then i had a few big sales last min. Best seller was Black Raspberry Vanilla and Lemon Lavender again... Our market is open 6 days a week but Sat is our best day...usually.

I sell the clamshells for 4.00 ea or 3/15.00 I sell the oval cups with one oz of wax poured in them for 1.25 or 10/10.00 and both sell well.

not piontless at all...they can find someone to order for them and then ship to Austraila if they want them bad enough...

Our Public market opened last weekend and was super BUSY! I had a real good Sat and sold candles and soap. My beer soap sold good Tahitian Vanilla Spice was the best seller. I sold out of my Vanilla Lace lotion and in candles it was my mix of Lemon and Lavender. This past Sat was slower the Farmers Market opened and they didnt get the signs up directing people to the new Public Market so we were slow yesterday but i still did OK. Lemon and Lavender in candles was the big seller again. Lots of people wanting my Vanilla Lace lotion...I am out till mid week on that. The public market is open 6 days a week and I held a good average all week so I just hope it keeps getting better!!

Our brand new Public Market (indoor) is set to open Sat june 5th. I am the only candle and soap person there. Our market will be open 6 days a week 10-7pm...So i will report how we did on Sunday...I am nervous and excited!!

I love my CDN's in my GG palm...they work wonderful for me.... I may test some ECO's when i start with the apothocary jars since i know i will need to DW.

Still testing votive wicks with this wax....the tarts i did have no throw at all compared to the KY wax...so i will stick with KY's wax for tarts for now. Thanks for the suggestions everyone...
