comfortscents
Hi, I'm Claire, Ann Marie's daughter. She's out of town due to an emergency and I've taken over her easier pouring so she told me to list these and you all will be honest. So here goes, be honest please. I'm not a candle/soap maker like my mother. I'm just a pre trial counselor and this is harder than working with people who were just arrested LOLChildren's Froggie Set (last photo looks like a flying frog)http://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a329/rainbowtourist/100_2943.jpghttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a329/rainbowtourist/100_2945.jpgpiggiespink pig is shabby chic pigorange pig is sunburned pigblue pig is depressed pigpurple pig is cold pigyellow pig is scaredy pigand I still need more suggestions for pig names and colors, any suggestions gladly acceptedhttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a329/rainbowtourist/100_2947.jpgChildren's Piggie Sethttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a329/rainbowtourist/100_2949.jpgthese last few are hersSnow Whitehttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a329/rainbowtourist/100_2934.jpghttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a329/rainbowtourist/100_2935.jpgcheckered bunnyhttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a329/rainbowtourist/100_2937.jpgcheckered pighttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a329/rainbowtourist/100_2939.jpgNew Victorian Line that she's addinghttp://i14.photobucket.com/albums/a329/rainbowtourist/100_2941.jpg

CareBear
Lovely - I especially like the Blue & White Snow White. To be honest, the checkered ones look a little rough (but I imagine they were extremely challenging to make) - they need to be cleaned up some. heirloomoriginals
I think they look great for your first time! It is funny how somethings come easier to people in the same family. I can't imagine being a pretrial counselor, but soaping and crafting generally easy to me!Good for you for helping out your mom while she is away!Steph
Jeana
You did a great job! You really have some tallent. The snow whites, both of them, are fabulous.
Vio
I thought the same as CareBear with the checkered ones. Like the animal area needs to be polished a bit. Unbelievable soaps though. Anything your mom does blows me away, and it looks like you have the knack as well!
comfortscents
hey guys I'm back, thanks for being honest with my daughter. I told her if you guys gave her any compliments or criticism that they would be completely valid. Of course now, she's kind of got the soap bug. She's a pre-trial counselor so every morning she's in the county jails meeting up with anyone that was arrested overnight..she meets with these people and then recommends what their sentences should be. You would think she would meet a guy huh? I keep asking her if I'm going to meet a new boyfriends in 3-6 months..lol..anyway..thank you all for the critiques and I just hired my daughter to help me thru wedding season...and you were right on the checkered pig and bunny..in person though the soaps look fine I think the lens was too close to the soap..but she re-poured them both and then kept the first batch to show me what you ladies saw. donna4909
Those Snow White soaps are gorgeous! How did you get all the different colors so perfect? I just make a mess when trying to do that...
comfortscents
Those Snow White soaps are gorgeous! How did you get all the different colors so perfect? I just make a mess when trying to do that... I think it was the hardest soap I ever had to pour...it was so time consuming..the one in the photo that is full color was my first try, I kept trying and I just kept making it worse so I decided the first one was the best of a bad lot and then when I poured the silhouette I thought it made all of the details pop..I like the silhouette better. I work in small batches, one bar at a time so it was just a matter of looking at a photo of the finished piece and then just piping the colors in...hope this makes sense... TraciS
Love the Snow Whites. Especially the blue/white one.
blazerina
I think everything is wonderful and I bet they are even better in person. I would perhaps suggest changing the 'Depressed' piggy name to 'Sad' Piggy. But maybe that's just me, lol. Sad is somehow socially aceptable... the other is ...quite depressing. (pun intended, lol) You could add a brown piggy and call it chocolate, or two tone black/white or brown/white and call it Spotted... maybe a tan one and call it bacon? Lol- ok maybe that's depressing too, lol.
