Menards was the only one that had them but the lowest setting was 500 degrees! I still have Hobby Lobby to check or I might look on Ebay. Luci
My husband bought mine at Home Depot. It has two settings--high and low. Not sure what the temps are.
itsallgood20
Any hardware store should have them in stock whether its Home Depot, Lowe's or your local hardware store. HTH
topofmurrayhill
I buy them on Amazon, but a hardware store is a good place to get them in the real world. A lot of them have just high and a low settings, which are typically somewhere around 500 and 1000 degrees. The low setting is good for most things. CountryGal
I got mine at Wal-mart and it has high and low. I LOVE it and can't imagine life without it.
Dahlia
ok, I guess there is no special heatgun just for candles just a regular heatgun will do. When I looked at the box from the one at Menards and saw the 500 degrees I panicked! I wonder why my Walmart didn't have them:sad2: . jhepp7gw2
Walmart is one of the best places to get a heat gun. I got my wagner there for around 21.95 plus tax. It only has 2 settings though. It is one of the best things I have ever bought for my candle business.
Georgia
Heat guns are in Walmart in the paint section or Michaels in the scrapbooking section you will find embossing guns...like heat guns only smaller. Still hot, though!
Bev
I already had a heat gun from Stampin' Up that I use to emboss cards. I use it to smooth tops of candles and for shrink wrapping as well. It only has two settings ... "on" and "off" ... but it does the job just fine!
PamR
I also used the stampin up heat gun til it bit the dust. I went to Michaels to buy another one & ventured over to the shrink wrap isle. They had one there that had a heavy duty cord that was priced the same. It really looks just like the stamping one, just a heavier elec. cord. redjello2000
I bought my heat gun at Ace Hardware. It has been a good one. Very sturdy and well made. Has two heat settings. Good luck in finding one!Beverly S
