alhughes
checked out a website that had awesome prices on seamless mold but was wondering what kind of weight contraption would you use to hold it down in water baths. I DID A SEARCH, but nothing i could find to answer this. so please answer if you wish.
SheilaW
I rarely use a water bath but when I do, on a regular size pillar mold, then what I use are those round concrete thingies that I think are used to protect your sprinkler head in the yard. Scented
Long time ago I bought some metal flexible weights, but that's for seams. I think you could hold that mold down with a rock or a glass. It shouldn't need anything overly heavy. I haven't done the waterbath in a long time.

Donita
I bend the lead weights in half and put a few on top. Or use heavy wrenches. Be sure to leave room so you can poke relief holes. I don't like to water bath the seamless molds....sometimes they tip over and oops! Donita
topofmurrayhill
If you use the wick centering tools from EZ Wick they make a handy platform for the flexible mold weights. One tip...don't chew on those weights as they are made of lead. I found out the hard way and look at me now.
mystical_angel1219
I use flexible mold weights, like these mold weightsWell, I know who to send my mold weights to. Those didn't work for me. I tried them with hurricanes and had quite the disaster. I went to Home Depot and bought some of that heavy duty chain link you can purchase by the foot. Linked them together and I slip right over the mold as a circle. Holds that sucker down like the Titanic.
