mamafescandles
Hello All,I had a customer call me today and she is looking for a candle that drips excessively. She'd like to drip candle wax on mesh covered wine bottles. She said someone told her there is a particular kind of candle that drips excessively. I advised her to use cheap dollar store tapers & explained that there are candles that don't drip, but I have never heard of a particular candle that drips more than the norm, but I would ask around. Any suggestions????Mamafe
FragileXmom
I think you gave her the right answer, those cheap tapers will drip like crazy.
Melly
I remember them selling these years ago, they were candles that you made to stick in the top of a bottle. When you lit it, it dripped different colours of wax down the bottle, then once you had a wax dripping pattern you liked, you left it as display. Was very popular with my teenage friends about 10 years ago, havnt seen or heard of them since.

7Angela7
hmm....don't know if it was specifically to be used on bottles, but I've recently seen color changing tapers at Wal-Mart.
DoLLz
I've seen those tapers at Hobby Lobby. I think it was in a black box and it shows the tapers dripping with various colors
Jcandleattic
Also try Wicks N Sticks. That's where I used to get mine. And that's exactly what they are called too. Drip candles. HTH
DonnaGA
The 70's were an era of hippies. Wine bottles were used to hold tapers. Crayons were held over the flame. The wax rolled down the candle onto a wine bottle. Was a pretty cool effect.HTH.Donna

GirlWithTheCurl
If she wants the real deal, the empty bottle has to be Chianti!
Amberlei
I saw those at wal-mart a couple of weeks ago. They were white candles with embedded dye chips and were specifically labelled as wine bottle candles.
