Forrest
If I’m wholesaling to a shop in another state, and not selling locally what business licenses do I need? I ask this because I just entered into a business arrangement with a shop in Florida to sell my photography. My plans are to also sell my inked tureen candles to that shop.
TallTayl
I would ask my local SBA. It varies from state to state and often county to county. if selling candles to a store, you’ll probably want to carry product liability insurance. $1 million in coverage is pretty standard. Ask the SBA about forming an LLC or similar to protect your personal assets in the event of a negative incident.
kandlekrazy
You'll need to check with both states or Counties depending on who issues the license. Calif is one of the worst. My bus was in AZ at first and because I sold wholesale in CA I had to pay CA lic and LLC fees in addition to AZ.
Quentin
You don't need to do anything. You're an individual selling your own pictures, etc. Just collect your money and take it to the bank. Some will say that's bad advice. I don't think so.
Sebleo
I would think if you’re not collecting and paying sales tax for that state you wouldn’t have to do anything.
