Opinions on these scents? Help!

Can anyone review these? Looking for strong scent throws that smell great in general. I use max fragrance oil in my joy wax (parasoy) candles. I am looking for something for my mermaid candles and never really have any luck with tropical scents. Especially coconut... here are some fragrances I am looking at.

You really need to buy samples of these oils and put in your  own wax and test.  Not many use Joy wax on the forum here so reviews you receive will be for the more popular waxes that most use.  Getting suggestions is no guarantee that it will even work in your wax and that is the reason you have to test yourself.  Out of the fragrances you listed I have never ordered any myself except Summer Scoop and in my wax, 464 it is a bomb and one of my most favorite scents.

Erm, I would like to see how others felt about the oils they used in their candles before purchasing them. It's better than buying them  without any reading up on them first. Is it a strong scent? I am looking for scents that will be bath and body works tier strong.

The only ones on your list that I've personally used are Summer Scoop and Summer Boardwalk. I like both. To me they have a medium to medium strong throw. I use all paraffin.

Summer Scoop smells like a sweet ice cream scent to my nose. It's like smelling a banana split to me but heavier on the strawberry than banana. It's fruit and cream if that makes sense. Summer Boardwalk is very unique to me. It's cotton candy and funnel cake all rolled into one. I don't really know how to describe it. I think I pick up hints of popcorn too but it's been a while since I've smelled it. RE used to carry it too but I think they've discontinued it. 

 

Trappeur uses Summer Scoop and I think she really loves that one if that helps.

Would you say summer scoop is a good tropical scent? Does it have good throw? I am looking for something a little fruity for a mermaid themed candle I am making for a friends birthday.

It smells tropical/summery to me. I defiantly smell fruit in it.

You're welcome! I hope you're not disappointed. It's not a pineapple or coconut scent but defiantly has fruit in it. I think more strawberry, banana type with some cream and vanilla. Hope that helps!

It would defiantly be a summer type scent so in my opinion it would go with a mermaid theme.

If you want something more beach/tropical type maybe go for Monkey Farts, Butt Naked or Ocean Mist?  Have you ever smelled either of those?

never smelled them before..do they have good throw? I am looking for anything that would fit a beach theme and kinda smelly beachy. Are any of those good on natures garden, flaming candle or just scent from the three you mentioned? The only one I've smelled that you have listed from JS is Twisted mermaid and I can't remember what it smells like. I would have to go dig my sample out. If I get time before hitting the sack tonight I will.

NG has a good Butt Naked, Monkey Farts and also one called Ocean Mist that's very oceany smelling. They all have good throw. Butt Naked has more of a mango smell to it and Monkey Farts has more banana and citrus and even a strawberry tone to it. I love all of those from NG.

I would love for you to light it and see how it throws and the smell for twisted mermaid if you have the chance. I have had a lot of luck with JS so I am more willing to order from them, Thanks so much for always being so helpful!

I smelled Twisted Mermaid and really like it OOB. It's very berry smelling but has an under tone of something else. Anyway, I like it so I hope you will. I haven't put it in wax yet though. I have never tried her Butt Naked or Monkey Farts but I would be willing to say they are good oils too.
