*Dee*
I am superfatting at 5% but I keep remembering back a couple years ago that it still dried out my skin a little bit. I have very sensitive/dry skin and it gets worse in the winter months here in PA. So now I am wondering if I super fat at 7-8% if it'd be better for those with dry/sensitive skin. But a little worried about super fatting above the 5% So figured I'd see what everyone else super fats at and how many do more than the 5% and how they like it. LeahRB
I use 7% most of the time and I've never had a problem with my soap going bad or DOS.

Chefmom
I make a small batch of my favorite soap for winter at 20%. I have never kept it for a long time, so I don't know if it would have issues with long term storage, but I love the silky feel of it. In the winter my skin drys out and that soap helps. Candybee
I make a lot of milk soaps and tend to superfat at 5%. I have superfatted at 7-8% though and didn't have any problems.
TallTayl
Depends on my lye source. Local lye 5% is fine. Fresh Pails of Boyer lye, i have to go up to at least 6-7%. I do not adjust when making milk soaps. The formula stays the same, except for milk replacing all of the water when dissolving the lye.
