CareBear
I make 75/25 paraffin/soy candles and a friend and I were discussing lilac and how the scent brings us to our childhood homes. I'd love to make candles for us; can you suggest a realistic lilac FO?
MarieJeanette
SweetCakes Lilac FO is awesomely realistic. I've never used it in candles, but I make perfume and CP soap with it and it's absolutely wonderful. It takes me straight back to my childhood days when we had a neighbor who grew lilacs in his yard. ksranch
I use Peak's and it's a best seller for me! Love it!
Moneypenny
In my humble opinion, the very best lilac I have found and it is beautiful in 100% soy is Rustic Esscentuals (KY) Fresh Lilacs! Wow it is amazing and always my top seller for this time of year! If it works this great in my 100% soy, I would think it would work in anything! Lol!! Just my .02! ChrisR
Another Sweetcakes fan here. I use it for candles at 1/2 oz./lb in my paraffin/soy blend and LOVE its strong throw and in your face lilac scent!!

Noodle
I have been fortunate to have never smelled a bad Lilac. I like Peaks, Brambleberry and Sweetcakes.
Guest OldGlory
Aztec has the best Lilac I've ever put in wax. I have a lilac bush in my front yard and had a friend do a blind side by side test of a real bloom off my plant and a container candle. She thought the candle was the real bloom. That says it all! ChandlerWicks
Thanks! I'll try it, CCs is soooo good, but I can't keep wasting time on one FO. Stubborn!Be waiting for results on SC!I use 1.5 ounces per pound and it burns beautifully- cd wicksI have a 1 ounce SC here - after the reviews on that I will have to test that one out too but I really do love JS's version- lilac is one floral I never get tired of
moonshine
Glad to know the CW- I won't waste time trying to wick it! Seems I have a heck of a time wicking any CC FO's- even using less of the suggested load! They either don't like 415 or my wicks-lol
ChandlerWicks
Her FOs are incredible, most I can wick if I use suggested load or less.
TallTayl
Tsw true lilac sold like gangbusters all last summer in soy and beeswax. I had to wick down a size. Burned exceptionally well. Even little soy tealites threw strong and true. One tea lite made at 6% FO load and a TL 15 scented the kitchen and all adjoining rooms. paintednightsky
I've tried NG, Peaks, CS, CC, RE lilacs. I think it is hard to get a bad lilac. They all smell realistic to me. I think Peak, CS, and CC though are the strongest lilacs.
