  1. Country Bumpkin, Amish Quilt, Gain Mango Tango, and a custom blend we call Sunshine. They were 4 of the best sellers at the shop.
  2. I use soy, but I love AH/RE, and they have an awesome sample pack that comes in 1 or 2 oz's!
  3. Deb, yes I have, that's part of the reason I chose those 4 scents, they are the ones that I have down pat. And thank you Beth!
  4. Glad I came here to vent, my insurance carrier doesn't have business insurance, so I went looking for some quotes, waiting for the agent to email me back! Thanks y'all, idk how something like that slipped my mind, you coulda just saved my rear!
  5. Ok, thank you! I was working for my sister in law, making tarts in her flower shop, so everything was covered by her insurance. She had to close her shop, and there was such a high demand for the candles and tarts I decided to go out on my own, still trying to figure all this "business" stuff out!
  6. I've been making tarts professionally for about 8 months or so, I never thought if insurance! Who would I contact for that?
  7. So glad I'm not alone! I can vent and vent all I want, but people just look at me like I'm crazy, here, I feel understood LOL!! I don't think I'm able to post pics yet, but as soon as I can I'd be glad to post a pic!
  8. So the team mom from my sons football team comes to me and says they need a fundraiser, so me being the "do it all" that I am, said I'll get right on that... I have never ever ever done any kind of fundraiser before! So I picked 4 scents, threw together a nice looking order form, printed 100 copies and took them too her. 2 weeks later, which was this past Friday, she brings me over $500 in orders!! Not only that, when I go to order supplies, none of the scents I picked are sold by the same company! So I place 3 different orders for wax and scent, ordered printer ink and labels from Amazon, and still have to go to Walmart and get jars, Dixie cups, and paper bags. Lesson learned, you can't always just "jump in"!!
  9. I make crumbles, and I always dye, that's what I've done from the beginning, but recently I decided to do a "Fall Preview" In which I only made a 1 lb of each fall scent I had, didn't dye, and poured them into fluted tart molds. I can really see the appeal of this, they are sooooo much easier! I wish I would have done it like that from the beginning, but I have too many loyal customers, I couldn't change it now.
  10. I placed an order with RE yesterday, and got a sample of the Celtic Moonspice, I should get it Wednesday, and I'll tell you what I think!
  11. I love country bumpkin, it sells like crazy for me year round, but the area I live in is very country, so people go nuts for this scent. I think it would sell well as maybe a "Grandma's Oven" or something along those lines.
  12. I wanted to keep mine, actually did keep some for about a week, but I am soooooo anti-clutter having those empty bottles sitting there drove me nuts,I couldn't take it, I had to throw them away!! :embarasse
  13. That is the where I got mine, much cheaper than what I was paying on ebay for the ⁴⁴⁴!
  14. I poured some Amish Spice Loaf and Blueberry Muffin crumbles this evening, and I'm done till Monday, I have tons of family stuff to do this weekend, and will have 6 extra people in my house! Starting Monday I will be pouring tarts for my "Fall Preview Sale"!!! I'm so excited!!
  15. There truly is nothing like it!! Everything I have read about candle making says not to put water on hot wax, or a wax fire, really don't know what she was thing, but glad she is ok.
  16. I saw some gingerbread molds at Walmart last night, I can't wait to make some little gingerbread men!! They still have school supplies out, but probably within the next couple weeks they will switch over to the Fall/Halloween decor, I hope they have some great fall molds, rather than just Halloween, I do like it a great deal more!
  17. Not sure, but it would totally be worth it, Bonfire Bliss is my absolute favorite! I love having the boys smell my new scents, because I know they are going to give it to me straight, no sugar coating to save my feelings, if it stinks, they tell me. They also come up with some great ideas, we have one named Fruit Cocktail that sells really well, and my son invented it!!
  18. I have been using Ecosoya Pillar Blend for tarts, I have about 4 lb of it left and I'm going to try out KY Para soy blend. For candles all I have ever used is 444, if I don't like the 464 I'll give the 415 a try, because I have heard good things about it too!!
  19. Just got my shipment in from AH/RE, and it was like Christmas here!! I'm not sure how long it will take me to get it in wax, but here is my critics (aka my 4 boys!!) sniff test review! Warm Vanilla Nutmeg- Smells like Nana's house at Christmas! Awesome sweet scent! Frosty Pines- Smells like a taxi cab (although none of them have ever been anywhere near a cab!!) it stinks!! Christmas Past- "It really smells like pine trees"!! Smells sooo good! Santa's Whiskers- A mix of Christmas Past and Vanilla, smells good, although they were expecting cookies and hot cocoa!! Bonfire Bliss- Smells AMAZING!! I close my eyes and sniff and I can see the leaves changing colors!! Toasted Marshmallow- Just like it says!! Gingerbread- Can't wait to pour this into little gingerbread molds, smells great! Flannel Sheets- "Is it nap time"! Zucchini Bread- Mouth watering good! Southern Butter Pecan- Smells a lot like a scent I already have "Bourbon Toasted Pecan", but I like it a little better. Falling Leaves- Ehhh.... Apple Harvest Festival- Ooohhhhhhh it smells sooooo good!!! Pumpkin Cheesecake- A little more cheesy than pumpkin, might mix it with the next one... Pumpkin Pie Spice- Smells just like it says!! I know this probably isn't much help, but we are so excited!! Can't wait to really see the leaves changing colors!!
  20. I have thought about doing the clamshells, I like those, and it seems it would be super easy. Right now I do mostly "crumbles" and they sell like crazy! Occasionally I make the fluted tarts, and they still sell, but around here they can't get enough of the crumbles!
  21. I bet I could find some at Micheal's!! Thanks for the tip!!
