  1. BINGO! I hear ya loud and clear on that one. I am sick to death of Walmart. A lot of the candle supply places sell the 8 oz jj - fortunately. Candle Science has excellent prices on glassware.
  2. You have got to be kidding me!!! All this time, I have been looking for a can of clear liquid. Ya know, it sure would be nice if the ppl at Walmart knew this. I walked all over that craft area looking for a can!! Thank you for clearing that up for me. Man, do I feel dumb. :rolleyes2
  3. Thank you, brother. I vaguely remember something like that from waaay back. I didn't even know that anyone made it anymore. I happen to love the smell of the campfire. Ok, so my last outing left me with a case of walking pneumonia...so, maybe the candle scent would be better! lol Can't make smores with it though. By the way, the same guy asked me for that smell that babies have on them when they are born....you can imagine what went through my head. Something moved me to suggest that perhaps he meant that baby powder smell...yeah, yeah, that's it. So, let's see, thats campfire, beer, and baby powder....should I be scared? You should have seen the look on the face of the gal he was with.
  4. I had a guy ask me just today for ...dig this...smoke. Yup, like a fire burning. I wanted to hand him a box of toothpicks and a lighter...have fun. It's really hard not to look at ppl with that "what are you, an idiot" look on my face, but it just happens naturally...it's a blessing. Beer....was his second request. Yeah, probably to put out the fire, you drunken pyro. Where do they come from????
  5. ....me too...I just don't like any of the Hot Apple Pie scents so far...they just don't smell like it to me. I don't even want to sell it to anyone.
  6. I know exactly the smell that you are talking about. I have experienced that myself. I have not tried an Orange scent other than Orange Clove, it was great, in fact sold out...got it at, NG
  7. I have never had anyone ase me either. However, since I use soy, I like to point that out. I like that it is made in America. I never considered where the jars were made. ...or, you're American, you make it in America..therefore technically.....? Ok, I'm trying to get too slick here.
  8. ...for a moment, I closed my eyes and pretended that I was you....ahhhh.
  9. Uh-oh, I am glad that I didn't put an order in with Mabel White. As regards the sweetener, wish I could remember where I read it, but I read that ppl use a little Sweet-n-Low....? You know I haven't tried it, but just something I retained in the recesses of my already crowded mind.
  10. I thought exactly that on both counts: the flash played off of the wax and mad it look white, and yeah, you bet, something made from you and from your heart will mean the world. I'm sure she'll cherish them.
  11. Hi First Lady, I don't know what it is you are worried about, those look beautiful to me. I would be proud to receive them, as I think your DIL will as well. It's the kind of thing that I would save forever. You know how I love making memories. I don't know how you do this without them being all drippy, what a neat looking bouquet. I really love them.
  12. Thank you for the info. I was thinking about it last nite before I went to bed. I wish I had thought to turn my wax bath on! I was also thinking about putting Soy in...I might try it with the Shea/Mango Butter I have, it has petroleum in it also. My hands are in water constantly. Just brutal. No amount, or brand of lotion has given me the relief I need. Thanks again.
  13. ...and weren't you smart enough to leave! Knew there was something about you I liked! lol Did ppl tease you more about the accent, or did they ask you repeatedly what the heck ppl from Mass. see in those damn Kennedy's? Oy. :rolleyes2 lol
  14. I do use them for wickless...they are just pissa! Nice, heavy glass, and seems to give a better scent throw....? or is it just me? Takes no time at all to melt the wax...they are absolutely the best, but man, what a pain to get. I've even had ppl who do B&B stop in and ask me where I get them! That stinking Wal-Mart...had them ONE TIME! I got 3-4 packs, and that's it...they don't have them anymore. Ohhh, I hope you find them in bulk and at a great price, I looked again the other day, online. Nope, there's just the one place that you probably already saw, and they are ridiculously over-priced...figures. I'll even pay the $3.99...as long as I can get them consistently, and from one place. Yeah, I think I'm talking myself into a visit to TrueValue.
  15. I did the organizinf thing yesterday, and cleaning this evening. I might actually relax a bit tomorrow, and watch a movie, and wick some tea lights. LynnS, I'm sorry for your loss, my friend. You know where I am if you want to talk. Fern-Marie :awww:
  16. I ought to do it, I just cannot get my hands softened, they're always dry and chapped. ...it sounds sooo good!
  17. Well, then I'm on the right track! I think I am going to do that. At least there will be some sort of consistency. One week they're $3.99, the next week they're $6.49...good grief, I can't justify that kind of a cost when I can get tureen jars at almost that price for a case! Why does everything have to be so darned difficult!
  18. I found them at a local supermarket here after I my 'super' Wal-Mart no longer carried them. I love them, but everytime I buy them up in bulk at the market, they double the price. Then I have to wait for them to come down again. I have searched extensively online...I cannot find them. I considered going to a local hardware store, TrueValue, and ask them to get them for me. What a pain. I hope you find them.
  19. Spud, Those are gorgeous! I never saw or heard of this being done before, another great idea! I wanted to do arrangements with silk flowers: I CAN'T FIND THE ARTIFICIAL WATER! PLEASE, TELL WHERE YOU GOT IT! thanks, Fern-Marie
  20. this site has them also, not exactly sure of the dimensions you want: http://www.herbalhut.com/SearchResult.aspx?KeyWords=plastic%20lids
  21. I think I found it, this supply place shows the lids, and they list sizes on the top of the page: http://www.tayloredconcepts.com/Small%20Votive%20Container.htm
  22. Specialty Bottle has them-not as defined as what you have, from what I can see, but you can check it out: http://www.specialtybottle.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=134
  23. I see some here, but not sure if this is particularly what you need, but this site has lots of stuff: http://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/ProductDetail.aspx?Tab=4&CatalogID=9&CatalogTitle=Containers+And+Packaging&ProductID=3951 I'm trying.
  24. I got this off a website, but I have not tried it yet: 4 oz of Ethyl Alcohol - Use plain, unflavored Vodka 24 oz of DISTILLED water - this will prevent clouding, tap water will cause a cloudy product that will not spray properly 1 tsp. of Fragrance Oil - be sure that it is skin safe Mix the Ethyl Alcohol and the fragrance oil. Shake or stir well to combine. Slowly add the mixture to the Distilled Water. Mix to combine well. ...and that's it. Why can't you send alcohol through the mail? ...and what is Cyclo? If you do this, let me know how it turns out. Good Luck, Fern-Marie
