    Hi, here I am, the little cinderella from italy!! I'm pleased to show you one of the pillars I'm making for a friend. She wants ten pillars to give her friends as christmas present. She told me to insert in pillars the initial of her friend name. One of this girls loves horses, so I tryed to do a candle with a horse.. here it is, please be very straight and tell me what you really think. I love it, but as we say here in italy "ogni scarrafone è bello a mamma soja" (every beetle is beautiful to its mom's eyes.......

    Hi Donita! You already tod me about yours techniques, but one thing I was wondering.. when you use cookie cutters to cut embeds is the wax already completely solid? I tried when wax was not so solid and the surface has deformed.. but I supposed it's normal.. so what should I do exactly? Thanks!

    wow, very nice!! but in italian is "Candele del gatto felice", in your translation happy are the candles, instead in that form it means the cat is happy, right? We invert adjective, you use adjective + subject, we use subject + adjective. I appreciate so much your interest in this discussion!! Thanks!!

    Thanks, that's a nice idea! I thought about "Meow! Candele" uhm.. I cannot decide!!! But your idea is good.. I'll study a simple logo maybe it helps!!

    Hey Margaritamama, I don't know how to call that, but the candle is very nice!! You know I'm not an expert, but to me it looks like mottling.. mini-mottles!!

    Oh yes, Virgola is very nice, but I don't want to forget Punto, they go always together as Stanlio and Ollio (Laurel & Hardy). They eat together, sleep together.. so I would keep even their names together!!

    excuse me but "Cero Fanale" made me laugh a lot!! The translation of "Candle light" is "Luce di Candela" , "light of candle". LOL!! It's very funny playing with different languages!

    Hi, I'm going to sell my first order, some pillars for a friend. I wanted to make some labels.. and I was thinking of a nice name for my very little business. I wanted something that reminds me of cats, I love cats. One of the name is "Meow Candles", the other is "Punto e Virgola Candele" I'm italian, Punto and Virgola are the names of my cats.. What do you think could be better? "Meow Candles" to me is very nice, but here in Italy people doesn't speak english often.. What should I do? TIA Sabrina

    Forgot to say.. I already made rustics.. with a lot of frost!!!!! Sometimes it remains in the mold.. why??

    :mad: Noooooooo my candle supposed to be shiny.. the motorbike was ok, it had a ncie shiny surface, I heated it, heated mold too, with my fingers I stick this emed on the mold, then I poured wax... all the candle is shiny and glossy how comes that the embed get frosty?? Only this little piece of wax??? Thanks Maragarita the candle is not so bad but I don't like that blue, so I'll put it back in the pot anyway!!! Kisses

    Hi all, I made another attempt with a pillar and embeds. I made a motorbike, heated the mold and stick it... and that's was fine. But when I unmolded the pillar the surface of this embed was irregular and almost "frosty". I use an "unknown" wax to do the embed.. And other unknown wax for the pour.. I poured at 158 ° F... I post two pics, can please you help me? Maybe if I use an higher MP wax for embeds is better?? TIA Sabrina

    Thanks now I see.. here in italy we have something similar,we call it "zabaione"... I bet it's fattening... but I'm safe because I don't like rum and brandy!!! Beautiful candle, now you know I'll try to do something like that!!! Kiss

    Thanks!! I don't know if I'm lucky but all my new candles (except cones!!) burn well.. So I accepted an "order" from a friend. She wants 10 pillars for her friends for christmas. So, with the (little) money I'll get.. I think to buy something overseas.. in england I think.. so.. get ready.. because I can fight you with your same weapons!!! I'm joking.. but you are very kind, I love you, your candles, this board!! I can't wait to get home adn put some wax in a pot!!! Kisses:wave:
