  1. hi ajl, remember me? very nice candles!! I see you live in england.. i found a nice site who sells candle supplies, special waxes.. but to me the shipping cost is sooo high! maybe you already know it, if you don't here it is: http://www.candlewhat.co.uk
  2. Thank you very much, I hope I'll find Ange or Manolis.. maybe I could write a post for them? I don't know rest of europe but here in Italy seems that candlemaking is not so diffuse.. maybe If I start sell my candles I'll become famous!! (just joking) bye bye!
  3. many thanks! and is it correct what I wrote? 20 secs seems a lot of time to me, the candle will resist?
  4. this site is great! thanks for your welcome!
  5. Hi, my name's Sabrina and I am Italian. (so be patience please with my english!) I make candles for myself (til now.. maybe one day.. who knows!), I posted a few pictures of them in the gallery. I have a question, maybe you could help me! I read about the "crackle" effect dipping the candle for about 20 secs. in hot water, then dip in cold water.. this works for all candles or only for chunkies? many thanks to all!
  6. thanks for the welcome and for explanation! I have to learn a lot, and this seems the right place!

  8. Hi ajl, my problem is I can find only one tipe of wax, the manufacturers don't even write the MP.. the molds (I use plastic molds) are exphensive.. colors too.. non to mention fragrance!! I found great USA and UK sites, but if they ship in Italy shipping cost raises a lot. And I don'even know things like "the best wax to make pillars"!! This site is wonderful and all of you with yours work gave me beautiful ideas! bye for now
  9. you make me smile!!! so if you want I'll post my next work (when I'll find the time to do it) If I have any technical question where can I ask? Here? see you soon!
  10. I would appreciate your comments and suggestion, if you want!
  11. thank you very much, that candle is my first draped layers and I had a lot of fun making it! it is a good way to ricycle small amounts of left wax. Bye!
  12. I'm happy to see that someone likes my candles!! Now I want to try rustics!! And I hope I can soon create my workspace!! Bye!
  13. Hi, my name is Sabrina, I'm italian, so please forgive me for my english! I make candles form my own, and they're not perfect.. but I wanted to show you some of them and maybeall you "scientist" could tell me something about! I've not named them, they are non scented: in Italy there's no way to find all kind of waxes and materials as I see on american site. Thanks for looking at my job. All of yours candles are great!!! hear I go: (sorry, photos are ugly)
