  1. I agree with everyone else here but just have to say the poor girl no doubt back to being a lurker now. Glo
  2. How about Ohio Wholesale & their sister site Kennedy's?? Glo
  3. Great line!! Very original idea (as usual Z). We visited the brewery that makes the Blueberry beer when we visited Bar Harbor a few years ago. Glo
  4. Really cute and so is your son! glo
  5. Hey, welcome Koala!! I think we have a few other gals from OZ on here too. Glo
  6. I can't say much except I think they are legit. I know a few peeps from The Candle Buzz. I think it changed hands not long ago and I think the original owner was Gramma Fran who used to post on here for a while. HTH, Glo
  7. Multiply all ingredients by 4. Run thru soap calc for exact lye measurement. Glo
  8. Thank you. I will try it this way. Do you use baby oil on the Lexan? Glo
  9. Thank you all. This info will help greatly. Happy Holidays!! Glo
  10. I'll be getting my first "real" mold for Christmas. It's a tog- wondering if anyone has used them for salt bars? I'm hoping they salt bars release easily from the "plexiglass" divider? Anyone experienced in this?? Glo
  11. We are charged for cash transfers in our business account. With a fee on every order PP costs add up. They are convenient though. Glo
  12. Actually I think there is a bacon one. I've seen it mentioned on here. I really can't see anyone burning this type of candle. I hate when my house smells of bacon when we cook it. Beef jerky?? Maybe for the guys during "the second week of deer camp" LOL. Glo
  13. I've had that error before on Paypal click & Ship and have had to go through USPS site to ship. I use whichever one is working that day. Glo
  14. Just beautiful. Ingenius mold idea. I bought a mold and the sides are separate. Your idea is so much slicker!! Glo
  15. Hope today went well for you. Up here in Pa it seems cooler weather gets us a bigger crowd, and snow is not usually a problem unless we get 8 inches. LOL. A greenhouse show sounds like fun. All the Poinsettas and Christmas Cactus would be so festive. Glo
  16. I'm pretty much like the other ladies here-had home ec but pretty much learned at home. My mom was a good seamstress and I ended up making my little sister school dresses while I was still in school myself. One thing I remember was the home ec teacher had us learn the basics while stitching on paper without thread in the machine. Sounds crazy but stitching on the lined paper gets you the feel of the machine and how to sew a straight line without messing up any fabric. Start with something simple like a pillow for your first real project. Glo
  17. Gotta say, I still like Stitches N Wicks. LOL. Course I'm biased! Glo
  18. Let me just say it's who you talk to at the PO and when. The regs change from person to person. BELIEVE ME. The last person gave me a real unusual regulation. I can send one bottle of FO with a flashpoint below 200 via priority or parcel post(before I could send all >200 via parcel). Doesn't matter if it is one ounce or one pound it is still one bottle per package. So as soon as you order 2 one ounce samples with FP<200, UPS here we come. So I don't even bother with USPS parcel anymore as it's so slow. I had packages taking more than a month, then I would call the PO and they "found" the packages. I have discussed this with other FO suppliers and we all agree-the Postal Service really has no idea how to ship the fragrances. They all interpret the regulations their own way. Glo
  19. Any tracking number on the order? Although USPS tracking really stinks. My experience with missing orders is if you call the post offices involved (my postmaster has contacted the receiving PO for me) they usually always "find" the missing package. I really feel sometimes they are just set back & overlooked till someone complains. Glo
  20. I heard that other Linen's & Things will be closing too. Always get my DIL GC's for there and my son told me not to get them this year because they are closing. Glo
  21. Cute Hubby there Vertically E. Mine has auburn hair too!! Glo
  22. Congrats Candy. Hope next week is as good for you. Glo
  23. We called to reorder waxes last week and were told they would be $15 to $20 more per case for paraffin and soy. We are contemplating not carrying waxes at all anymore. Prices hikes are just too big. Glo
  24. I sure hope it comes down, but like Candy said not holding my breath. We called to order our waxes the other day and were told that all waxes have gone up 15 to 20 dollars case soy included. Our stock is low and we are debating discontinuing waxes all together at these prices. Glo
