  1. OK finally back up for me. Thanks All
  2. I've been trying for an hour now. I thought about maintainance but that's not what it is saying. Glo
  3. Hmmm, This is all I get: PayPal Shipping is not available. We apologize for the inconvenience. Frustrating!! Glo
  4. Is paypal shipping down for anyone else or just Me???? Used it early this morning & now it's down. Glo
  5. Sorry no ideas for help but just had to add-Aren't all CS representatives from India now days?? I haven't gotten one who can speak or understand English in years. It's very frustrating. Glo
  6. I don't think you are going to find to many business people who aren't saying things are slow right now. I actually wonder if you are missing many sales being out of the craft shows this season-spring & summer shows are notoriously much slower anyway not to mention the economy this year. I did a small Mother's Day show (thankfully a free show my friend runs) and it was really slow. Barely did 1/3 the business we did last Oct. at the same place. My friends family does food that is always a sell out (some things were gone by 11 am last fall) and they had lots of left overs this year. I really think the only thing to do now is try to ride it out and hope that a change in politics with a new administration will turn things around. I really feel for all the small business people struggling right now and am so sorry when I see another chandler or soapers inventory in the classies due to "going out of business". Steph, hang in there!! Glo
  7. Kristy's recipe diluted really easily. I heated it a bit and she said you can hit the chunks with a stick blender & that's what I did. Did get some foam to skim off the top but most of that ended up turning back to liquid soap in the bowl after it sat a while. That last little bit of skim that was left I put in a pump bottle with a little water and am using at the sink. Glo
  8. I'm not sure where it is posted other than the yahoo group but she called it "Easy Peasy Liquid Soap". If you don't find it maybe if you pm her??? Glo OK, checked the Dish and that is the one. It's great!!
  9. Steph, I've ordered from them before and was very happy with the transaction. Glo
  10. I can't really answer your question but I will say that Soapfreak has a wonderful and incredibly easy crock pot liquid soap recipe that she shared at the Ohio Soapers Convention. I made it 3 weeks ago and was so surprised at how easy and quick it was and the soap is fabulously lathery!! Made mine extra thick for shower gel and we love it. Glo
  11. Z was a big help to me in ordering. Here is her post about placing an order: Since I have been asked a few times, these are the choices that I chose in bold: 1. METAL CHOICE Magnesium - Same day turn-around ** Please select from the following magnesium choices: 16g (.064"/1.63mm) .080 (2.032mm) 11pt (.153"/3.86mm) 1/4" (.250"/6.35mm) 3/8" (.375/9.525mm) 2. PLATE OUTCOMEOn the finished plate the IMAGE should be: Raised or Recessed Right Reading or Wrong Reading 3. FINISHING Mark all that apply Unmounted Bevel edge (for lock-up) Holes Drilled OR Mounted Type High on: Wood Base or Magnesium Base (16 Gauge cannot be mounted on mag) Finished Plate Size Trim with extra outside image area I had mine mounted on wood, there are no holes drilled, I think its fused right onto the wood, there's no outside trim on the image area at all. I hope that helps! Also the file cannot be in "word"- this caused me problems till Z sent me info on how to change "word" to "pdf" & my son did that for me. In fact he did all the computer designing and file changing for me. Got me some good kids!! HTH Glo
  12. My first bar was too soft and didn't work. The 2 I took a pick of were a bit harder. Then I tried some older ones and they wouldn't stamp at all, too hard. I did use a hammer. I guess you just have to learn at what stage of the cure to stamp them at. Glo
  13. Well finally got around to ordering the Owasso soap stamp. Only cost $7 & change (shipping) and I am a happy camper. They did a wonderful job and sent it sooo fast. Glo
  14. I'm bad with figuring how much preservative. How much should we use in this recipe? Also our own home made liquid soap should work right? Just made my first two weeks ago. Glo
  15. I use a lot of lard-makes the best soap. We're in the country, folks don't seem to mind it here. I can't smell much odor in mine-and none in the soap at all. Glo
  16. How about: Summer Breezes Wilderberry or Berry Delicious Glo
  17. This sounds wonderful for my Hubby's hands. His fingers crack something terrible. My soy lotion bars were working for quite a while now this winter the cracking began again. Thanks so much for posting this. Glo
  18. Holy Moley Z. I thought I had seen some beautiful soap before!! Simple words cannot do justice to those bars!! Glo
  19. I have a few international customers. I find that they are very knowledgeable and usually tell me how to proceed in the best way for them. My lady in Australia prefers flat rate boxes as they are only 37.00 to her. I usually forget how I sent it to them the last time and they refresh my memory. LOL. I love getting the orders when they know just what they are doing. Yesterday I got one and she only ordered FO that I can send international, reminded me to use a flat rate, totaled the order and let me know she would send money via direct transfer to save me paypal fees. Now that is a customer you just gotta love!! Also our post office is very good at giving me shipping charges to other countries when I call them. Glo
  20. The boat tours are The Gateway Clipper. The Burgh also has Phipps Conservatory (great if you like plants), the Pitt Zoo & Aquarium, Carnegie Museum, Buhl Science Center and loads of other stuff. Glo
  21. That's so great that you did so well considering the economy and all. Gives us all hope for the upcoming season. Glo
  22. Here is a neat link I found. Maybe in the older days than me Red Devil came in 12 oz cans. Either way here is the story from Grandmas mouth: http://www.rangelandherbs.com/recipe.htm
  23. The old red devil cans were 18 oz. But definitely use a soap calc. I used to do the recipe like your Gram way back when. Glo
  24. I got a lotion with mink oil in it once in a swap. I thought it smelled like I rubbed a ferret on me. WOW 72-you'll smell like an old ferret!! Glo
