I'll try adding the different things and see how it does. By the way what is a mottled tumbler candle? I've been making (or I should say trying to make) the grungy cake candles. Hi, I hope I'm in the right forum. I'm new to the candle making business. I have to admit, I'm hooked. I have so much to learn. I've been using IGI 1230ASC1 wax. I can get it in bulk, locally. I was wondering about adding additives to it. I added what was called universal additive to the wax on a few batches of the candles. I'm just not sure if it actually helps or if there are other things I should try. Also, after my candles are made, how much time should I wait before I test one of them and should I test one of each (let's say I made container candles, pillar candles and votives)? I would appreciate any advice on the subject. Also, in your opinion is the wax I'm using good for most candle types? Sorry about the long post. Thank you in advance for any light you may be able to shine on the subject for me....
