  1. I freeze because they are Milk soaps so they won't turn tan or orange from the goats milk I put in there. I use Goats Milk Powder at the end of the process I make a paste with the Powder by adding about 1 1/2 ounces of distilled water to it. Also it helps with the scent not burning off because the HP is so hot when I pour it into the mold. Barbara
  2. Vio, I color half the batch and then drop by tablespoons in the crockpot all over and then swirl a couple of times with the Silicone Spatula and then I take a bamboo stick and do some swirling with it then put it into the log mold. I freeze my HP soap for about 2 1/2 hours and then cut. Barbara
  3. These are some HP soaps I made today!! Thanks for Looking! Barbara

  6. I really love Tennessee Candle Supply for their fragrances!!! If you buy 6 1 pound bottles free shipping!! Here are some that I love Amish Harvest Apple Cinnamon Apple Mango Tango type Cinnamon Bread Pudding Cinnamon Cider Cinnamon Stick Harvest Spice Honeydew and Summer Berries Love Spell type Ocean Rock Sun Washed Linen Tangerine Dreams HTH Barbara
  7. I am thinking you could probably use Sunflower, Apricot, or anykind of edible oil just one that doesn't have alot of smell or taste to it so you won't taste it in the toothsoap. Barb
  8. You really don't taste the soap after a few days you will get used to it. I tried to go back to toothpaste one day because I was getting low on my stash and I could feel the sticky glycerin on the back of my teeth and food stuck to it. You know when you use toothsoap your teeth feel squeaky clean all day and even into the next day. Barbara
  9. Donna, I make mine unflavored that way I can make different flavors each time I make a small batch for me. I use Lorann's flavor oils like cinnamon, Peppermint, Spearmint, Wintergreen I just count the drops that I put in each batch I use about 10-15 drops in a 1 ounce batch. I have even used lipbalm flavorings like Bubblegum and made a bubblemint. Barbara
  10. Very beautiful soaps!!! Are those all done with the Hanger method? *soap porn approval* Barbara
  11. I see a dragonfly stamped on the yellow ones they are so cute. Barbara
  12. Scented I use toothsoap instead of toothpaste I make my toothsoap with oils like Olive, Sesame, Sunflower, Rice Bran, Cocoa Butter and Tallow I Cp this soap recipe and I add EO Oils like Peppermint, Spearmint, Wintergreen or Cinnamon. Once you use toothsoap you will never go back to toothpaste again. Toothpaste contains Glycerin and glyercin is sticky and makes plaque stick to your teeth when you use toothsoap it is like a powerwash for your teeth. After the soap has cured and dried out I run it through a coffee grinder to make a powder and then put my oils, Xylitol Sweetner, and distilled water in there to make a paste. http://www.soapdishforum.com/forum/index.php?showtopic=33139&hl=Toothsoap Barbara

  21. I think the ash is worse when the Salt bars are colored. I don't think you see it as much if the bars are left white and just a colored swirl on top. Salt bars are suppose to look ashy. Barbara
  22. Louise, I sprinkle Salt on top of my bars I hope you don't think that is ash!! LOL!! I like the Sprinkled look it looks like Sugar on top. Barbara
