sometimes too large a wick can cause this.. but sometimes it just happens.. usually halfway down the candle...I think maybe as the wick is further down in the container, it "dances" more to take in more O2.. it will burn hotter and create its own air movent.. well thats my unejamacated guess:cheesy2:

In wal-mart crafts section , they have small ziplock bags.. they are 4x7, and the ribbons fit perfect.. as some of the other shapes.. just the perfect size.. its like 2.00 for like 500.

I sell a lot of colonge dupes..cool water drakkar etc.. I also sell a lot of home sweet home type,clean laundry type,leather and fruit and fruit blends.. I havent any any demand for bakery type scents.. except some kind of vanilla

they work fine for me.. I also use the push up kind too, I tend to favor the twist up type better..

I did a bunch the other day.. and couldnt wait to stick one in my car with a new FO.. so i stuck it in my air filter:p

oh you can do a lot with MP! I havent even attempted CP yet... I do so much with the MP, I am not really into the more decorative stuff, but I add add lotsa extras to make it special.I tested a lot of bases until i found the best one (for me) to hold the extras without losing lather/hardness.. I make all kinds of MP soap, a lot of botanicals.. like oatmeal milk and honey, green tea,sage and lemongrass, cucumber eucalyptus etc..so far I have had great luck with ading thigs to make it special without ruining the whole batch:laugh2: . Just remember there is a whole world of Mp bases out there.. plain,goatmilk, shea .cocoabutter,etc.... you can do a lot of cool stuff!

I like most of their products...they have a marshmallow vanishing face cream that is to die for.. would love to find a clone for it.

I am a chef, and due to issues with my children some with disabilities, I chose to be a SAHM. I found myself creatively stifled.. as my family are picky eaters..i couldnt continue my food experimenting as much as I would like:angry2: I also was a candle addict, and got tired of having to spend 20$ for a quality candle..so I started making my own.. that snowballed into well i have containers candles down.. lets try ornamental and bakery candles,lets try tarts, lets try soap, lets try scrubs... . It is a creative outlet mostly.. and i approach it much the way i do when creating a food recipe( I measure like for food too:rolleyes2 ) I never really intened on doing this for profit, so that has been an added bonus for me.

I dont know.. not long I thought..I might not have even froze them.. just refrigerated them..

I made these the other day...wanting to try a new recipe.. all mine got a white haze on them.. not cocoabutter bloom..but gritty baking soda haze or something..

the standard tart mold holds about 1.5 oz of wax... I use a whole tart in a warmer... it wont overflow most standard warmers.. i never used the clamshell kind so i now nothing about those.

I have ordered my zinc from all over the place... some mushroom, some dont... took awhile to find the ones that don't.

I started ordering from WSP when I first started out..I didnt know about the thousands of other places out there... for the most part i have been quite satisfied with their scents, their BAKED BREAD is still my all time fav candle scent and biggest seller. I hate that they don't have small smaller samples.. but then again.. i like having a 2 oz size for a special request scented candle or soap.. that I dont have to buy 16 0z to make! they used to give great discounts on shipping and stuff, and have cut it out in the last year... they were giving a 2% discount on your total order or a certain $ off of shipping..I wish they still did it... Finally.. they changed their liquid candle color bottles.. they ones they had with flip tops leaked no matter what you did... now they have a eyedropper bottle that doesnt leak HOORAY!!

I have used in in MP but nothing else..

I used WSP coconut in my MP soap.. the oldest batch I have is 3 months old and its still very white...

I agree with saran or small shrink bags.. and i find the cheaper the platic wrap.. the more stretchability it seems to have.. dont know why.. but after i stretch and pull and tuck.. its TIGHT like it has been shrinkwrapped.

the closest place I know off hand is carolina candle cupplies, I didnt find anything for FL GA or SC in a quickie search..

aluminum coffe pots(like for camping) and I have a wonderful antique aluminum pitcher that I use as well.. there are also aluminum measuring pitchers(food service) up to 1 gallon size and they are marked for measuring.. handy
