  1. what are you using to mold yours? looking for different ideas and shapes
  2. Help:( my hobby turned business is outgrowing my home! how do you all utilize your own space for storage.. and I am not "up" on proper storage of candles and BB items... right now I have stuff crammed into my laundry/mud room. I am very cramped... I have a 2000 sq ft 4 br house with 6 people and 5 pets! should I just invest in some shelving? I need a bigger house and my own craft room:cry2: whine over
  3. I guess it depends on what you are personally comfortable with... you created that scented lotion.. by adding your custom scent and pckging.. so if you feel ok saying you made it .. do so.. I use bases, and customize my own scents.. even add EXTRAS.. so I am fine with calling it my own creation..
  4. Nothing, until I get supplies:cry2: been gearing up for my craft fair the 24th, and I have run out of wax,and soap ingrediants and pretty much everything but scents and colors! I am anxiously awaiting the mail man and UPS..
  5. it can depend on your soap base.. an all natural base has more natural oils and will sweat more etc.. usually the maximum fragrance most MPs will hold is 1Tbs per lb. I never use liquid coloranst so i dont know anything about those.. ise powdered and soap block colors
  6. spiced cranberry, or cinnamon balsam christmas wreath or holiday berry
  7. I use plain ole thin rope elastic like the ones ya get at walmart. sometimes I will use a colored embroidery floss.
  8. Don't get to upset about this.. some people are set in their ways.. my MIL wont use any of my things.. she has to have this particualr soap, and this particuar lotion and nothing else.. why? because shes used it for 40 years and can't stop:laugh2: no other reason.. habit d
  9. yes... not only blobs, but a big oil color pool on the bottom of the jar.. every time I tried I concluded I couldnt marble j223 and gave up.
  10. ya got it. sometimes i do leave a scrubby side on purpose.. the scrubby side lasts a good long time too..
  11. guess i should have been more specific.. i got that pic from that site.. i just found them today.. and thought they were kinda cool and was looking for opinions on them.
  12. very simply.. i wanna showcase my product not the decorations.. my stuff has a "country" theme, so I will use a plain cream or beige table cloth(burlap if i have it) and use wooden crates to create shelving.. I also have wicker baskets and wicker platters for soaps and tarts etc... I usually have some brown paper shreds and raffia, sometimes a bit of greenery.. but thats all.. all the color comes from my products.
  13. are you making MP?? another hint... after melted and scented to your liking.. add oatmeal and stir.. let it sit until a skin forms on the top of soap, stir again.. let a second skin form and stir again.. then pour.. otherwise all your "scrubby" large peices will sink to the bottom....
  14. I have only used in Mp soap, i grind myself. and have fine powder, and some larger bits..., the powder part will suspend into the soap base.. and it laters and works just fine. I use about 1/4 c per lb.
  15. I had to look twice.. I didnt really see it at first.. that looks antique.. I thought it ws just a bail jar at first..
  16. if its concentrated on and around the registers... then its coming from your air system somehow.. have you changed air filters recently? I live in base housing so we use the el cheapo blue filters, they are crappy,I HAVE to change those every 2 months or I get black residue around the registers... black mold is nasty stuff... usually grows when there is escess moisture somewhere in your home... it causes a lot of respitory and other health problems if its not dealt with.
  17. those are very cute.. I have been meaning to try those out.. too many projects ..not enough time(sigh)
  18. ever seen these? I just found them a bit ago... you fill with oils, salts, soaps toys etc.. whatever.. and throw into the bath...
  19. thanks a lot off to look for round labels, i was hoping.. avery had some..
  20. I get mine from WSP w/o lids, I pay 20.00(19.89 or something) for 4 dozen, its like 5 something for 1 dozen
  21. I have just ventured into things that require a tin or small pot.. was curious if there are any templates/label sheets etc.. out there for printing a round label, like for top/bottom of jar or tin...
