  1. I am so close to hitting the order button on this.
  2. I have been making salt bars in a 2# log mold and finally splurged for a 5# Slab mold with dividers. My question is what is the weight of the oil I should use. For the 2# mold I used 1# of oils. The 1:1 ratio of salt added makes the recipe a bit bigger. I was thinking 40# of oils. Does this sound right?
  3. Ok..now I am hungry for Strawberry cake...those look great!
  4. http://www.wholesalesuppliesplus.com/ProductDetail.aspx?CatalogID=0&GroupID=0&CategoryID=1674&ProductID=8207&ProductName=Soap+Box+-+Oval+Window+(GUEST+SIZE%2c+KRAFT) I saw these the other day..looks like they have just one color
  5. You did a great job on it. I love the swirls. I just cut the castile bars(my 2nd batch ever) and you are right ....the feel is wonderful. Now only if I could get the swirls down as well as you ;-)
  6. Looks great! The soap stamps are really cool!
  7. Aztec fragrances that are big sellers for me are: Butt Naked Monkey Farts---Have tried from other companies but non compare Blueberry Cobbler Pepperberry Mistletoe---I renamed and use this all year ...guys really like it Bedtime Bath----THis is my new favorite for soap. Just made salt bars with it and it smells wonderful Oakmoss---I have a friend that CPs this and its a great guy seller. I agree with the others above too. Coconut Bay ect. all good and throw well for me. I use a custom blend of wax though soy/par I do want to add that thier Lavender is not right but the newer lavender sachett is good. I live about two hours from them so I sniff mostly before I buy but not always ;-)
  8. Pictures!!! I am an HP girl as well. I am about to whip of a batch of plain old Castile in CP....I figure since it take so long to cure for good soap ..whats the point of speeding it up. Wish me luck .... this will be my 2nd ever batch.
  9. Those look like Jewels. I love them.
  10. I think they look very nice and clean. Great colors!
  11. I love the swirled top...absolutely beautiful!
  12. So pretty. I hope to get the nerve up to try cp again..so far just sticking with hp.
  13. Thanks for the compliments! Yes the wool covering shrinks with the soap. Here are some I played with last night.
  14. Nice Swirls! I think your soap looks great!
  15. I am not sure ..but I think it is the lye that disovles it ..not the heat. Maybe someone else can chime in
  16. Just break it up and stir it ...and put lid back on. It should be fine. That is still raw soap. My batch I just poured did that. It will get liquid...I am sure of it.
  17. I got my silk here. I purchased fiber. http://www.soap-making-resource.com/tussah-silk.html. I didnt want a liquid because I think it has an expiration date. You can look up natural tussah silk on Etsy and find some too. 1oz of fiber is quite a bit and a pinch to 2# of oils is all i used. It melts in the lye water. Oh and Tussah silk is crulety free. No injuries to the worms while gathering this silk..lol.
