  1. LOL. I am wondering if my candles are too boring being natural in color rather than being dyed. Im not too concerned about frosting as long as the scent throw is good. But, I hear its hard to get darker colors in soy. I havent used any dyes at all in soy. So I have no idea. Is it a real pain in the butt? Which types of dyes work best in soy? Do you think candles sell better being dyed than not? Im using ky puresoy, so dont know if it makes a difference what type of soy. Hope to hear your opinions!
  2. Sounds good! Well BCN and KY are both close to me, so I think shipping would be about the same. Have you made votives or tarts with this wax by adding stearic? Im curious to know because then I could eliminate purchasing the votive pillar wax. Thanks!
  3. Is it just simliar, or is it actually the same wax? :smiley2:
  4. hi everyone! I did a search and found some info on here about ezsoy, however I wanted to ask a few questions. I started using ky puresoy and the natural votive pillar blend. However, bittercreek north is pretty close, and I noticed that alot of people have luck with ezsoy and that alot of fo's work well in it. What I noticed on the bcn website was that if you add 5 tbsp of stearic that you can make votives and tarts with it also! It would be SO cheap for me to have one wax for everything!! So i wanted some opinions. Is there anyone that uses this wax for tarts, votives, and containers? Do you find that most oils are throwing well in this wax. When I hear of wicking problems, what do you find you need to use for wicks in this wax. I do the half pint 8 ounce regular mouth jelly jars, votives and tarts. Thanks in advance for any opinions you have! :highfive:
  5. I really love how you arrange the wax pieces in the pies! They are beautiful! You do great work!! :highfive:
  6. Hi! No it doesnt happen in tarts, i do think it has something to do with the wick?

  15. I just had to share, i was looking up soy candles online, and i found the most unique candle, it is the cutest thing, i might even buy one they are so cute!! check it out!!! http://thumbwickcandles.easystorecreator.com/Browse_Item_Details.asp/Item_Id/14/categ_id/1/Name/Appearing_Scene_Wickless_Soy_Candle
  16. Hi! I used the ecosoya vb, but i had those circles also. I finally found out I had to pour them at a really low temperature so they wouldnt shrink at all. And then they turned out well. Maybe try pouring them when the wax gets just slightly cloudy....then maybe they wont get those circle shaped cracks anymore? :undecided
  17. You should test Cinnamon Rolls with Vanilla Icing from Just scent. It is the BEST I have ever tried. It literally smells mouth watering real and is very very strong in soy! You can smell the icing too!
  18. yes I would love to know what some more good ones are, thanks!
  19. Why do you have to switch to something else if you dont mind me asking, or did you just want to try something different?
  20. thank you! I do have one more question for you please kaybee since you have experience with this. I am going to try lx wicks next. I tried HTP 104's and 105's and they mushroom really bad, and I JUST tried the premier wicks from wick it, those are mushrooming right now as they are lit. I am going to try CD-12's next and lx 24's. But was wondering if you think that 10% FO is too much for this wax. I used that much in this jar. How much do you use? Maybe Im using too much oil. Because all the wicks are mushrooming. Otherwise everything else is perfect. Good scent throw and everything. Just mushrooming wicks!
  21. Ok, I found another one lol. This site says it has soy based FO's and also have ultra strong FO's. Anyone use this place?? :rolleyes2
  22. When I pour jar candles with the puresoy, ive been pouring when they are slushy, and then I get creamy smooth tops. However when I prepare the wax, I measure out 7 ounces of wax for an 8 ounce jelly jar candle, and the only thing I add is FO. Well, when the wax is slushy, it all sticks inside the pour pot and doesnt fill the jar all the way. So, how much wax do you prepare for that jar candle in order to fill it all the way with slushy wax. And then if i make tarts with the leftovers, I want to mix some of my votive pillar wax, (ky votive pillar) and add more scent and make tarts with the rest of it, but didnt know how much of the votive pillar wax to add. I was wondering because when I make a jar candle, it doesnt fill the jar if i pour when slushy, and then I need to do something with the leftover wax and its too soft for regular tarts in the mini muffin pan I use. So I was going to mix some of the votive pillar wax, but wasnt sure how much to mix in with it. SO, if you could please, I need input on how much wax to prepare for the jar, and how much votive pillar wax to mix with the leftover wax for tarts. Thanks so much!!!
  23. Thats pretty funny! I guess its a small world, and you two got lucky!! I love just scents!! The oils are so awesome!!
  24. I did find the scented bean and love it!! I just happened to stumble across this, and have heard of some o\of you speaking of wax that you might have used from there i think. So, I wondered if anyone used any of the FO's from there. I did notice the soy vs paraffin part lol. :undecided There prices did seem pretty reasonable however.
  25. Does anyone purchase oils from enchanted lites? There prices are pretty reasonable and a large variety and it says there oils are manufactured for use in soy. Does anyone use them? Thanks!
