A whole lot of reasons. No horrid chemicals, made with love, money going to an individual rather then a large corporate enterprise, individual, lots of individually "good ingredients". Supporting local business. There is of course lots more reasons, but these are just off the top of my head.

I don't sell my candles, but as a consumer I would want to know what my candles were. So if the candle was 100% Soy wax then I would want that on the label, if additives were used then I would want to know that by the label reflecting it. I do make 100% soy wax candles myself and of course always look at candles when I am out, can tell sometimes that the candles have additives and that peeves me off that it really is false advertising when in my opinion and additive negates the 100% soy wax definition. I have asked as well, much the discertion of the candle maker when I ask if they have additives and I tell them I think they are making a false claim. Just my personal opinion.

I agree, your packaging looks beautiful, would love to see a photo of just your soap cut as well, as it too looks beautiful.

I remember the thrill to of getting it right at last. I am still a realative newbie to candlemaking too. It is so damn frustrating sometimes, testing testing testing, lol.

If you put them in the freezer for a day or two that may remove the smell.

Oh my goodness. So you had not obviously bought from that supplier before? Upshot, does that mean you left without your lye? Bet that left you fuming, how horrid for you.

Is it possible to have a photo showing the whole room together? Got a bargain on the curtains as well. Did you free hand the prints or use a stencil?

Now I look again your curtain photos look a brown shade, but with the lamp on they look a purplish shade, which is what I was commenting on by saying I loved the colour. Lol so are they a brown, or purplish shade?

I have only ever used the stickums and had no issues with them.

I have not made soap in many years. I do recall this happening to me once, but sorry cannot recall what the reason was for it. I think I recall pouring off the lye, after waiting to see if it would absorb some how, which it never did, and used it anyway.

It still looks good.

Beautiful looking soaps. Certainly gaining an education here, beer soaps I had never heard of these before. Are they literally made with beer? Do you use beer instead of water?

I am so excited did my first 6% FO, the hot throw is excellent, can smell it through the whole house, very impressed since the house is a fairly large open plan house. Lovely apple scent so very fresh. Thanks again for advice re % of FO

Thanks Judy, excellent recommendation that I will follow. I have been trying multiple different FO and colours, have already eliminated FO that I would not wish to use again.

If overweight loose some weight. Hypertension needs to be treated not something to ignore, risks of kidney damage, stroke, heart attack very real. Your doctor should prescribe more medication to take your blood pressure to an acceptable level if you continue to be some hypertensive. I hope they are monitoring it reguarly.

Ok, so now I am confused again, lol recurrent emotion when you delve more in to candlemaking. Ok I hear what you are saying Judy, so is it just a case of testing to see how an individual FO performs with its hot throw at different % of FO?

Thank goodness you listened to those alarm bells ringing, and did not become one of thier victims. There are so many bad people out there, thank goodness they are a minority though, how can they sleep at night.

Yes you are right it is what the individual likes and how each FO performs. I made a coffee FO at 10% last night, well I am not sure that it smells any better then the 1% blend I had made previously. Of course I am yet to test burn it. I have been getting good feedback from my 1% FO candles. I personally like the hit you in the face strong fragrance which is why I want to do 10%. All in the test test though, sigh..............
